Get the LT1. You'll thank those of us who said so. ;)

...LS1?

Definitely go with the LT1. Once it's in there, you'll wonder why you even questioned it. I had an 87 Firebird with a 305ci. in it that blew it's head gasket and decided to throw a small block 400 in it instead of fixing the 305ci. I painted it black so it would look just like the origional. The only visible diference really was the harmonic balancer. That engine surprised so many people. Once I took it to a shop to get the brakes worked on and when they test drove it after the work was done, they got a ticket for roasting the tires at a light. He said that he didn't even put his foot on the gas pedal. He wanted to know what year that 305 was... HAH! Trust me... go with the bigger engine.

the LT1 in a sense is just the pre model of the LS1, so id say LS1 also
|
LS1 are cheap and you can run 750 hp on the stock bottom end, they are all pro.
|
LS1:thumbsup:
|
LS2....what?
Better yet, just save for the new Camaro!! |

I can however get a 3.8 block off ebay for 75.00 :D Looks like it needs some cleanin up but hey Its all good :D LS1 .... could be a possibility Aren't the LT1's lighter?? |
Dunno which engine is lighter, but the LS1 can put out more power. And, that's the only deciding factor for me!
