Good look at the extractor and new wheels.

I wonder how much of the 1LE will carry over to the ZL1.

I'm guessing 1LE+2SS+LT4+A8+New wheels/tires=ZL1

I agree. The ZL1 being 1LE based is probably why they didn't allow a 2SS 1LE.

Add in the 2SS options, reinforce the chassis for 650 hp/tq, add in some aero, wheels and a new fascia gets the ZL1.

Wonder if that lower piece where side-skirts would be is part of the car or is actually a kit of some sort.. There's definitely more going on there than on the SS in that area. It does look in the front/rear that there's some lip to the lower pieces and up near the rear of the front wheels, some blending in to the body. Maybe similar to the Corvette Stage2/3 areo trim pieces?

The front lower grill inlet is inverted from SS design as well.

Liking the semi-agressive lines of that hood. It's like a modern take on the old L-88 hood.

SpeedIsLife 03-10-2016 11:23 AM

The hood is very clearly inspired by the L88 Stingray hood

Awesome! Nice to see some pics since it has been a while since we have heard anything on the next Z**. Hopefully we hear something in New York.

September release? I hate the fact Chevy is making me choose between SS 50th edition vs ZL1. I want a ZL1 50th

mcsoul 03-10-2016 12:28 PM

I hope that the blade spoiler is an option, that one in the pic looks like standard SS.

I can definitely see a trade in the future. I love my 2013 ZL1 but I am digging the new look. I like that Vette inspired hood a lot!
