The day started crappy but it's been beautiful here in Beaufort for the last few hours....oh well, the weather doesn't always agree with our plans.

I'm down for the 18th, let me know. Should be fun.

429 05-06-2013 10:44 PM

Got the car back on the road today, feels good. Exhaust shop tomorrow, alignment rack friday, vengeance monday to finish the tune. Busy week

He11bent 05-07-2013 06:08 PM

So is the meet on the 18th a sure thing? I showed up last Sunday but no one was there. I should probably check the forum first next time.....

429 05-12-2013 11:24 AM

Going to mexico on the 18th for some grudge racing myself.

Jer4251 05-13-2013 12:43 PM

Who's planning on going to the show this weekend?

USMCSSGT-RET 05-13-2013 07:42 PM

I'm down if the whole gang is rolling.

Thanks for the info He11bent! Anyone know of the wheels in that post would fit the SS with the Brembo calipers?

I want to get a set for the drag strip.

Is this at Roebling? What do you have to do to participate?

Dang Mike, you're gonna drive all the way back to Beaufort, then back the same direction to Savannah???? You're a dedicated rider!!!!

I'm guessing we can meet the Savannah guys around the I95/I-16 intersection???

30% chance of rain in Statesboro this Saturday, another car or two and I'll go though.

Roebling Road is in Bloomingdale, When I contacted them you have to go through one of the driving/racing schools that uses the track.
Look at this Schedule to determine the schools. Prices range from $230-$300, if you get an SCCA Competition License then you can go on those open practice days for $200.

Jer4251 05-16-2013 05:18 PM

I'll go as long as its dry Saturday... how long does it take to get there from 95/16?? When would we want to leave?

1. Me

3. Me. Meet at the normal spot at 11:00?

habunow1 05-16-2013 07:23 PM

About 55 miles 1hr from Savannah to Statesboro. Whereas the beaufort camaros is 88 miles or 1.5 hours from Broad River bridge to Statesboro. The Beaufort Camaros would proberly need to meet yall on I95 / I16.

Jer4251 05-16-2013 08:43 PM

Well miss it if we meet at 11. Thinking 930 at the latest

corybollinger 05-16-2013 08:45 PM

Cool. I'll be there around 9.

Jer4251 05-16-2013 08:48 PM

Make sure u check before you show up. Crappy weather could change the plans.

2013ZL1vert 05-17-2013 09:46 AM

I think me and Jeff/SynergyGreen are gonna try to make it. Since we're coming from the other direction, I thought we could meet ya'll at Hwy 67/ I-16. There is a Shell station there. http://goo.gl/maps/bLqdV

mmarx82 05-17-2013 02:53 PM

Get gas before you guys show up, Kroger in Richmond Hill (Exit 90) is $3.13 (87) and $3.43 (93) today before any discounts.

Weather: Currently shows upto 50% chance between 1-3 as Isolated Thunderstorms in Statesboro

We will leave the usual spot promptly at 9:40. We will meet the Beaufort guys HERE in the parking lot on the side closest to the interstate and leave there promptly at 10:00. We will meet anyone coming from the West HERE at roughly 10:30 depending on traffic after which we will depart for the show no later than 10:40. Should only take about 10 mins to get there from the last meeting location.

When we get to the show what car club name do you guys want to use during registration? Just "Camaro5"?

Jer4251 05-17-2013 03:05 PM

I was thinking Camaro 5 as well.

All of this works for me. See you guys tomorrow.

USMCSSGT-RET 05-17-2013 05:10 PM

Beaufort guys, the place we're meeting the Savannah guys is Lowes in Pooler (1565 Pooler Parkway, correct me if I'm wrong). From the Kangaroo gas station at the corner of 802 and 170 to the address is about 55 minutes. So we can meet there about 8:50 and leave at 9:00 promptly. That'll get us to the Lowes parking lot shortly before 10:00.

From the sounds of it, we're entering the show as a club?
What is the total price per vehicle to enter?
Cash only?

I didn't know we were going to enter the show before now, might have to have cash on hand.

2013ZL1vert 05-17-2013 05:43 PM

The website says $20 the day of the show to enter and $10 for car corral.

http://www.statesborocruisers.org/carshow-pre.html

USMCSSGT-RET 05-17-2013 05:47 PM

I read that, what's the car corral?

2013ZL1vert 05-17-2013 05:52 PM

If it's like the Daytona show, it's cars that are for sale and those who are not in the show competition.

USMCSSGT-RET 05-17-2013 05:56 PM

Okay, so it's just $20 per car....cool.

mmarx82 05-17-2013 10:02 PM

You don't have to enter the show if you don't want too, I just figured everyone would anyways. I didn't get a chance to detail my car but I'm still entering.

USMCSSGT-RET 05-17-2013 10:37 PM

I'm good to enter, doesn't cost much. The prize for the club with most people is $100, and there's over 50 trophies...should be fun.
