test drives :) By GM ^5

I test drove a 1LE wasn't impressed at all. I was more impressed by the previous SS/RS I owned? Anybody else feel the same?:noidea::noidea::noidea:

Then you must not have pushed the car very hard. I can tell you that I feel the 1LE drives almost the same as a regular SS on the street but when you start pushing it is when you really start noticing the differences. I actually feel that the ride quality is better in my 1LE than it was in my 2011 2SS. I think the 1LE is more responsive, more stable, and it feels lighter (even though it's really not).

WELL with the Ride along person in the car. I suppose i didn't REALLY get the full effect oif the CAR :)

Maybe you didn't like the steering wheel?

I haven't driven a 1LE, but my SS plows like a dump truck when driven hard into a corner. My guess is you need to push the car harder to feel the difference. 95% of people have never been close to the handling limits of a car. This is where all the tweaks start to show up.

Keep in mind that the ride and drive was held on public roads - and the roads in that area of the country tend to be straight and flat.........

I suspect you'd be shocked at how good the 1LE is when you put it on a road course - in fact - I guarantee it.

The 1LE is leaps and bounds above the SS. I recently sold a 1LE to a customer, and fortunately we have a fairly sharp turn down an exit ramp to my dealership, I told him to let the car roll through the corner at a higher than normal speed and his....... perma-grin almost slapped me in the side of the face on the test drive.... needless to say... he is a very proud 1LE owner.
