Schools are closed, state is freaking out lol. God help them if they ever had to drive up north. Poor camaro has to sleep out in this.

Schools are closed for that little amount of snow???
|
The south rarely gets snow and when they do everyone freaks and its the biggest excuse to not go to work or school.

Man I need to move down south then haha! We are geting a couple of in. tonight into tomorrow morning.
|
Yeah, central Texas is getting some sleet and ice also. On the 10:00 news they were showing video of a multi-car pileup on one of the overpasses and saw a nice Camaro with airbags deployed. Sad to see.

Hey .... What's that white stuff on your car!!!
Houston is freaking at too.... Half the city is shutting down. And my kids are pissed that they haven't had a closure or delay announced yet :pound: I told them we will get up as usual and they have to go! (Mean mommy) |
Same here... Lol I love how some of the southern parts of the Houston area that aren't even supposed to hard freeze are canceling school. But up here in Conroe on the northside where it's snowing is gonna roll right on tomorrow! It's crazy down here...

We get very little and they wreck their cars when it snows or rains too hard here... sad |
Man we worked Wednesday and we got 12 to 18 inches of snow.
|
Hey Al Gore. How's that global warming working out for ya? I know, you've made millions, lol.
|
Trust me... down here, you want everything to shut down anytime a little snow/sleet sticks on the roads. People down here have no idea how to drive in the stuff and they all have summer tires year-round. And the road sanding effort consists of a guy with a shovel standing on the back of a dump truck, tossing scoops of sand out on the overpasses.
I grew up and learned to drive in upstate NY so I know how winter driving works, but it's hard to dodge those who don't have a clue. It ain't pretty. STAY HOME! |
schools closed here yesterday also... but for having windchills of -35 to -45°f!!
