opportunity to buy an atv.

I can buy a 99 polaris sportsman 335 for $1200. Is it worth it? It needs an oil cooler and maybe a paint job.

10 years old. How many miles? Might want to look for something newer with less miles or wear and tear. Or just buy new, they make some sweet atv's these days. I have two honda ranchers and they are awesome. Also ridden a big grizzly 700 I think. That thing was a ferrari. I know I probably didn't help, but I get excited about atvs.

I have a Preditor 500 and love it. I got my wife a Pink/White Phoenix 200. Polaris makes great quads. Hope they quit riding it quickly after the oil cooler went out. Rebuilds are kind of pricey. If you can afford the rebuild and the quad I say go for it.

I have 3 ATV's... and they are a blast to ride. What matters though is... do you have a place to use it?

Like, here in California it is absolutely retarded to have one. People drive for hours to get to the middle of the desert so they can ride around. But, in the Midwest, we use them to ride around our huge farms.

fyi

The 1st yr for that model was 1999 and the last year was 2001.

As for $1200 price, better check on the parts and if you can get them and what they could cost you. Parts are not cheap for ATV's. Might be worth $1200 in good running condition but could double up in price real fast if repairs are needed that you cannot do yourself.

I would say check for how much it is worth online. I personally have a 2009 Yamaha Raptor 700R SE and a 2009 Yamaha Grizzly 700 FI and both are GREAT! The raptor is for when I want to show off the incredible speed of it and the Grizzly is for going upstate.
