Hey,
You were not supposed to show me Hugging Matt for making my tuning correct. Next it's Motel 8, I'll leave the light on. On another note the weather in my area has cooled off some and did some more data logging for Matt and have received some updated tune files from him. This car feels so different now than when we started this tuning. Looking forward to some track time in the near future. This has been all motor tuning so far, once he has me dialed in than comes the real fun. CAN YOU SAY NITROUS!!! Thanks Matt for all of your time and effort. Rick |

YES in a GREAT way!! A/F now remember this is a Direct injection engine is around 12.8 - 12.9 right now on all motor. Tuning is not done yet!!! Transmission adjustments have been made and it shifts nice at part throttle and really nice at WOT. Lots of changes being made to knock sensors and other inputs. I'll leave all the details alone for now until it is all done, track tested and dyno tested. I will say I'm glad I spent the extra and went for this even after I already had the Trifecta tuning. Not saying Trifecta is bad, it did good at that time. I'm just a lot more pleased now with the results I have now.

We are getting close to the final adjustments on the motor tune, things are going very well. Hoping to do some track/dyno runs within the next 2-3 weeks. <--- Thats my guess at this point.

Latest update:
I'll be doing some track runs, if it does not rain, on August 9. Matt's tuning has given me a great A/F and the car feels great. My G-tech Pro is saying .2 reduction in ET and 3 -4 mph in trap speed for 1/4 mile pass. This ALL MOTOR at this point. The temps will still not be ideal but if I'm getting those results in the heat just wait until fall comes. |
what kind of AFR numbers are you getting both cruising and WOT?
|
etmx: Sounds great man !!!
IneedAZ: That's a secret LOL... I'll go over all those numbers when I see you in person. Cruising, the AFR will always bounce because that is part of the GM program (That we do not change the closed loop settings) so you can cruise between 14.4-16.2 but that should happen on purpose. WOT naturally aspirated we are looking for 12.7-13.0 on the DI motors you can be a bit leaner than your traditional OHV motors that need early transient fuel. I like to keep it high 12's, just a bit of a safety factor for not much gain by leaning out a couple of tenths. |
:paddle: <---- Matt said to me if I post my numbers. :sm0:
:noidea: Numbers what numbers, I don't see any numbers. IneedAZ, You have the advantage to get it live from Matt. ( tuning and information ) Quote:

IneedAZ,
We seem to have about the same mods, except you have more gear. Can't wait to see what numbers you pull on the dyno from Matt and see how we both run on the track. With the results I have so far from Matt, I really feel you will be glad you are doing another tune!!! Slight chance of rain this Friday, but if it holds off I'm doing some passes and we will see how it goes in the heat and humidity. Come on October!!! |
