Unfortunately, I was in Orange County just last week visiting my daughter. I wish the timing had been better. Let me know if you are going to be doing one of these shows in the Miami / Ft. Lauderdale area in the future. But, my daughter and I did get a chance to drive a 2011 LT down to San Diego/La Jolla for the day and loved the sun roof and HUD. Thanks for putting in the HUD and please keep it as part of the Z/28.

They are the force field generators that help protect the car. When anyone gets too close to the vehicle, they activate the mini-guns located in the trunk. It unlocks the trunk lid and powers up the electric guns that eradicates the problem at 10,000 rounds per minute. A little noisy, but very effective !

Synerbee 08-27-2010 12:01 AM

Awesome. Where is the test drive part going to be and how big is the course and rules of the course. AT OC Fair rule was don't knock any cones over and drive however you want. Some people took advantage of that.

What dose that dial/buttons do behind the key ignition? Just noticed that... the 2010 doesnt have it.

Those are the HUD controls!!!!!!

Richochet83 08-27-2010 09:06 AM

I said it once and I'll say it again. If GM decided to put that got damn Stingray concept into production like they did the Camaro, I will make sure (or at least try) that I'm the first one in line to place my order.

Right outside the doors of the convention center - and you will drive on city streets.

mmmm........a couple of concerns turning the Stingray concept (as you see it) into a production car:

>the doors - it takes more than one parking space to open the doors......

>entry is a challenge - and egress is not unlike a rebirthing experience.....

>If you are 5 feet 2 inches or smaller, you'll be 'snug'

>poor visibility for a performance car.........

It's a great looking car - but it's only a concept - and some of the stuff you see on the car is 'out there' (wayyyyyyyyy out there) - now - that said - there are styling cues that could be used on a future product........

(......and lastly? My 'bucket' is too big for the bucket seats in that particular concept.........)

....but isn't it Great looking????!!!!
