I expect both you and bartking to bring your Camaros to the Jack Maxton Friday Night Cruises during the summer. I'm from Westerville. My dad was driving yesterday and saw a yellow 5th gen Camaro on the road yesterday in Columbus.

Yep count me in on the Friday Night cruises. I don't mind being outclassed by SS's

Just dropped in to Jack Maxton last night (sorry no camera with me) and they have a blue 2SS/RS sitting in the show room. The sales manager said the owner was kind enough to let them show it off for a few days before he takes delivery. Mines still sitting at 3400.

Former Rides:
1966 Chevelle (1971 to 2007)
1970 Chevelle (1974 to 1991)

Next ride: RJT 2SS/RS L99 Auto with Black Rally Stripes 20" Polished Wheels

I went by yesteday too to see the IBM SS and boy it looked sweet... I didn't want to get too close and leave drool stains on it. I had my blackberry camera phone with me but every time I see the car I just go gaga and forget about the camera. :yikes:

I may have to stop by the dealership tonight with my dad. He has a dark blue 69 Camaro and I'm sure he would love to see the IBM SS in person also.

I stopped by Jack Maxton last night to take a look at the Camaro. They said they should be getting their dealer car in any day now. Hopefully they get it soon so I can sit in it.

I got a call from my salesmen Rich, at Maxton's, yesterday...my Camaro is built. A 2 week wait is what I was told to expect but, that's ok...I'm getting closer to seeing my RJT 2SS/RS.

Former rides:
1966 Chevelle (1971 to 2007)
1970 Chevelle (1974 to 1991)

Next Ride: 2010 Camaro - RJT 2SS/RS L99 Black Rally Stripes 20" Polished Wheels

Mine was built 5/01 but I'm not holding my breath until it's delivered - could be dangerous to my health if the wait is as long as some folks' has been. Perhaps GM is waiting for a full rail car or truck load bound for OH before releasing our cars.

oldbowtie 05-08-2009 06:19 AM

You are most likely right. That's the frustrating part...how many are heading this way? That will determine how long we wait. Hope to see you soon on the rode LadyBlue.

Take Care.

LadyinBlue 05-09-2009 08:55 PM

oldbowtie- my car shipped 5/7! Maybe yours will be along shortly...

RS_Man 05-10-2009 11:06 AM

Cant wait for that car to get here LadyinBlue. We're gonna have some work to do before we let it hit the roads though! Frank Z Chevrolet in Dayton got its first show Camaro in this Thursday, here's a link to my photobucket album for pictures if anyone cares to look. Got a couple good engine shots. Its a black 1LT. Super sexy. I cant wait to see them out on the road!

LadyinBlue, I don't want your's delayed but wouldn't it be nice if they held the train for one more Camaro... MINE! :-)

Can't wait to see the Columbus collection of Camaros.

LadyinBlue 05-11-2009 08:36 AM

Maybe we need a Dayton/Columbus/Cincy Camaro Comparo meet this summer/early fall so everyone in the region can get together and show off their new rides :-)

Your order looks to be a lot more powerful and flashier than mine but I'm sure they'll both be beauties in their own right. Here's hoping they both come in soon!

oldbowtie 05-11-2009 11:28 AM

I like the idea of us all getting to admire each other's rides. Hey, no matter what version or variation you get...it's still a Gen 5 CAMARO....that's all that matters.

Heck maybe we can do a few loops between Dayton, Columbus and Cincy. Oldbowtie and I ordered from the same place and built the same week.

diaboli 05-12-2009 08:21 PM

Okay, I tried to wait till they really hit the showroom floor, but I can't take it any more. I dropped my order May 5th.

I hereby pray to the production gods..... show me some love!!!
