Bone stock my 2012 M6 ZL1 made 500rwhp. With just an upgraded HX and coolant pump and Metco 8.6 inch crank pulley.

A/F ratio looked good the entire run. The first run there was 3 degrees of knock retard at 4600 rpm. The second run was clean.

Exxon 93 octane.

Sorry but I'm slightly specs illiterate. What exactly does 3 degrees of knock retard @ 4600 rpm mean? Also, what is an HX? Whose coolant pump?

Your car has knock sensors, if they sense knock the ecm will retard timing. Knock or
(pre-ignition) was sensed at 4600 rpm and backed off the timing by 3 degrees. From 21 degrees advance, to 18 degrees advance. HX = heat exchanger. Pump and hx are from Coolerlogic.

Oh ok. So there is no need to manually retard the timing then like in older cars. See, told ya I was a bit lost! Thanks for the info. Trying to figure out what to do with mine still. :)
