Camaro SS 2014 CAI Question
1 Attachment(s)
Hello all. I am new to this website and thought I create an account last night so if I were to ever have any questions I could ask you all. I am 23 and I just bought my 14 SS about 8 months ago and I love it. Recently, I installed a K&N CAI on there and I love it so far. The only question I have on this subject is the crank case hose it came with the CAI. I want to make sure this is correct. The instructions say on the 2014 and later camaros you have to cut the original crank case vent hose and connect the one you got with the CAI to the trimmed part of the original. Is this correct? One more question as well... What mods can I purchase to were it won't mess with my warranty? Thank you for your help.

Nice car, looks a lot like mine.
How do you feel about the throttle response with the K&N vs the stock intake during normal driving? In my experience (on other vehicles), adding an intake only adds improvements during WOT (full throttle), and can kind of screw up the linear power delivery when accelerating slowly. Mind giving me a quick impression of your K&N on an otherwise stock Camaro? |
Looks fine to me, but you may want to add a clamp to that line.
I'd look in the VMAX ported throttle bodies and an elite Engineering catch can as your next mods. Feel free to call, PM or email me if you have any questions. Congrats on the SS and welcome to the site! Best regards, Tyler 888-308-6007 |
Sixspeeder... I really do like this particular CAI. You can def hear it when you gun it to atleast 4 rpm. Other then that you can't really hear it when you are cruising. I knew that was going to happen though. That is when the exhaust system comes into place but not right now :/ anyways, to answer your question there is a difference. I do feel some power. My goal is to get it up to 500 to 550 horses. JDP... What type of clamps?

Do you guys recommend long tube headers or shorty headers? Not sure if either even voids my warranty. Just thought I ask when the time comes around.

Yeah that is what i am afraid of. I would have at least a diablo tuner added if it wasn't for that. Has anyone seen this spoiler on the camaro yet( Duraflex GT Concept Rear Wing?? Can not seem to find much info about it or who has one. I'm very interested

or this one…Duraflex stingray z look? I am asking because if I am going to pay 400 bucks for the GM Z28 high spoiler then why not take a peak at these other ones. If you can, please enlighten me on this. Much appreciated
