I agree with both of you, if this wasn't going on I'ld be there too. But I would rather drive my car down the track than go to a car show.

There are only so many times I can look at the same cars. I've been doing the car show scene for the past 10 years.
Now if the friends come to these events you get the best of both worlds...driving fast (legal) and seeing old friends...

Put all the $$ you spent on mods to the test and see what she'll do :burnrubber::burnrubber:

If I didn't already commit I'd be there Dave. I just got a new helmet and dying to go drag racing. Also waiting on some headers from Maryland Speed so I'll have some mods soon.

Do me a favor and let me know next time you go. :happyanim:

How bout we all commit to the September Super Chevy Show? I do agree with you Dave but made the bud show plans months ago plus the fiancé loves that show and she's the one letting me go racing now.

10-12 years ago when we were 4th gen owners you'd post this and everybody would skip the car shows to go to the track. We would have 40+ cars show on days like this. Just shows how times change.

Not so much that times have changed the generation in these cars has changed i'm only getting into racing again now I used to do a lot of pathetic racing with my PoS 95 Escort that I eventually blew the engine to pieces with NOS for fun the pieces shattering the windshield kinda scared the shit outta me though... point being I used to have money to throw away when I was younger now i'm older more bills and saving for a place to live and getting married is super expensive aswell... Next year i'll be more inclined to do racing events then car shows if the financials are there but like dave has told me time and again having the proper time off is key that and racing is far more expensive then a car show if you compare costs 10-12 yrs ago to now it's way more expesive unless the cool person that you are don wants to rent a track and give us a discount for a fun Slowhawk Track Day :fear:

I'm trying to get a few people together on Aug 10th, Wednesday night, Street Night.

A few friends with badass diesel trucks and one or two on bikes....just for fun grudge matches.....
