Santa Claus, Arizona

The adventures of Tom continue....

Santa Claus is an Arizona Ghost Town located on mile marker 57 on US 93 in Mohove County. The town was formed in 1937 with the primary industry being Christmas themed everything (kinda like Frankmuth Michigan without the fried chicken). Amazingly this whole thing lasted business wise until 1995 when the last shop shut down. In 2004 the town was abandoned and has largely disappeared except for a couple of old building in bad shape. Apparently you can still buy the land for about $52,000 dollars.

I'm from Detroit originally, we used to hit Bronners for the Christmas decorations. :iono:

Plenty of parking and US93 can be the drag strip. :headbang: Hotels aren't far away in Laughlin and Kingman too. :iono:

Yeah, it is around Globe. I have driven through it once and literally even if you don't blink, you'll probably miss it. I drove by it once when we took the extremely long way down to Northern Nogales (Tucson).
