You know.. I might actually be able to go. Sounds like its going to be a load of fun
I have the calendar marked. Provided no unforseen circumstances arise, the SS and I will be there.
Hmmm....Sept 08....I wonder if I have anything going on around then.... I could be up for a drive. And it's perfect timing to have a production Camaro out for everyone to see....yeah...might be able to take a ROAD TRIP!!!

24: End at Indianapolis Motor Speedway:
4790 W 16th St, Indianapolis, IN 46222, US Map Total Est. Time: 17 hours, 38 minutes Total Est. Distance: 1165.88 miles On second thought...crap...that is a pretty long drive. |

My "rule" is if it's more than 10 hours, time to look at flying.
I'm probably gonna fly. It's about 10-11 hours w/o stops  BUT I'm going to make every attempt at going.
Well, if I went w/ the family in the SUV, it'd take me just that long...17 hours. If I drove in my SS (which would put a lot of miles ton the SS that I don't want), I could make it in 14 hours (probaby closer to 15).
Did the drive to LA numerous times from SA. Best time was 14 1/2 hours...and I was moving. I think I'd really enjoy the drive up north, though....the time of year, etc. It would be pretty nice. Either way, gas and ticket would probably be running about the same in price...unless you get that plane ticket now for real cheap. EDIT: 18: End at ---- Stonehill Cir Thousand Oaks, CA 91360-1919, US Map Total Est. Time: 19 hours, 36 minutes Total Est. Distance: 1398.94 miles Hmm....if it took 14 hours to drive this but it's a couple hundred more miles than the drive up north, the drive up north could be a little shorter than what I previously thought. Cool. |
I"ll definitely put it in my calender. but I'll probabaly be shooting pistol nationals at that point.
might be there, even if i lived in mexico i would probably go, simply for the fact that, i drive a 2004 trailblazer, its nothing special trust me, its compltetely stock accept for the tires, and the reason for that is i try and focus extra money on the silverado, which i hardly ever drive. and i never miss a chance to drive my silverado weather its down the street or into indiana (my favorite state), or to where ever theres something going on where i feel like showing off. and it does a hell of a brake torque (FYI)
