Other than a helmet and descent driving skills, do any of you know of anything else we're gonna need?

mmarx82 07-29-2013 10:30 AM

I'm bringing a canopy and some of this stuff:

I read somewhere though that lunch was supposed to be included for drivers but I can't find it so assume not true.

Yeah unless you're wanting rock chips and road grime all up the side of your fresh paint. I found that out the hard way at Commerce Dragway. :(

Also, I figured I would extend this offer to anyone interested.
I have a Hotchkis Engine Strut Brace bar I'm looking to sell. Fits all 2010+ camaros. Came off a show car in California that was being demodded. Less than 1000 miles on it. I bought it and never got around to installing it. Still in the bubble wrap I received it in! Comes with installation bolts and the full installation manual. Heck I'll help put it on haha, it'd be a good chance for me to get to know a few of y'all since I'll be in Statesboro.
I really just don't track my car enough to warrant having it. And I could use the $$$

Anyways, I'm wanting $250 for it as they're $330 or so new on eBay last I checked. But I'll work something out if need be. It's doing me no good sitting in my closet.
Only trades would be for firearms related items.

I found out that SCCA event 6 at Roebling Road Raceway is going to be an Autocross event. It is going to be $50 for preregistration and $55 on site and is open to anybody. Registration link below:

On Sept 27 they are having a full track event which is part of a driving school event. That will be between $250-325. Full track events I found out are not available to convertibles however unless they have rollover protection. Here is the policy on that: http://www.hookedondriving.com/downl...nvertibles.pdf

I'm likely to go to event 6, definately will if everyone wanted to go instead of doing our usual Sunday meet. What do you guys think?

The email says you have to be there by 9:00 am, I believe they are opening the gates at 7:30, I'll prob get there between 8:00 and 8:30 as it's my understanding you can walk the track before everything starts. Being Roebling Road Raceway we might be able to drive it depending on how it's setup.
