2010 Camaros as Rental Cars?

So I know that Avis rented Camaros before. Does anyone know if any of the rental companies will get the new Camaros?

The reason I ask is that I'm getting married in June and today my fiancee asked me what type of car we might want to rent for the day. I'd love to drive away in a classic Camaro or Vette (if there's a place around here to do so), but now that I think about it, how sweet would it be to drive away in a 2010?

I am absolutely certain that rental companies will be getting a few Camaros. I don't know which ones. They rent Corvettes, so there isn't much reason not to rent Camaros.

You can rent Corvettes and Mustangs so I'd think you could rent a Camaro.

That's what I'm hoping. I wonder how soon they'll start renting them... Hmmmm... That would be so freaking awesome to drive my wife away from the wedding/reception in a 2010 Camaro.

If they don't rent them by the wedding, maybe we can just rent a 'Vette.

I imagine the police will get some. Seems to me that all of the sporty, marked cop cars I saw were Camaros until '02 or '03 when they were given Mustangs. Then they got Chargers and Magnums around here, so I don't see why they wouldn't get Camaros.

Congrats and hope you can find one to rent in june. Do you know anyone buying one, maybe they would be kind enough to loan/rent (depending how good a friend) you one! Just a thought!

Yes camaros should be found on rental lots as well

The Camaro marketing team is acutely aware of the negative consequences to the car's resale value when they start appearing in commercial rental fleets as the Mustang has.
The last I heard, this is not the path that GM wants to go down with this car... but who knows what the final decision will be, given today's market.

Best regardSS,

Elie

I really hope not as when cars are made for rentals they become fleet cars and reduce the resale value. Vettes are a different story as there are very few of them in the rental network.

Good news, start looking for the Camaro starting at a Avis near you in April. Should start with Major Airports.
