You need all your parts to be able to handle 1000hp first. So that's going to take a forged motor, while you're doing that you may as well stroke it to 416ci. Then everything after the motor will need to handle it too. Then you just need a way to push 1000hp worth of air into that motor. Your supercharger can't, so you could add nitrous or just upgrade the supercharger to a larger centrifugal unit. Or our twin turbo kit has no problem supplying that airflow. And then you just need 1000hp of fuel flow and get it all tuned to work together.

Take maggie off and install twins along with forge a shortblock.

A lot of money

I guess 1000 is the new 500. The internet makes it sound easy so everyone wants it now. LOL.

How I consider LS3 Upgrade costs...

450 RWHP - $
500-600 RWHP - $$$
600-800 RWHP - $$$$$$$
801 RWHP - LOTTERY

Remember, that much power doesn't just affect the engine.... Suspension, clutch, fuel, and a whole lot more needs upgrades at the same time.

Disageee.

800rwhp AGP kit for $7500
900rwhp AGP kit with fuel for $8500
1000rwhp add forged motor/etc

AGP has done a bunch of bone stock 1LEs, they come in with <2k miles, leave with 790-810rwhp.

Slowhawk 06-20-2015 09:19 AM

1000hp on the dyno is different than 1000hp on the street, that lasts.

A good forged motor, fuel system, tranny, A FI kit that can supply enough air.

That's fine to disagree. I'm pushing the same and with a different TT setup. If I had an AGP kit, I'd have the same opinion. Power and safe power are two different things. If you want 800+, you better be looking further than just the motor. Other components of the car need some attention too.

OMG does every post here have to turn into an AGP Commercial?

LOL.... 8500 dollars.... and about 10 g worth of damage.... Motor ... tranny and rear.... But Hey the motor made 900

So much for responsible project builds.

Fixed it. The kits are on sale now.

1000hp on the street is much cooler in conversation than reality. It isn't as much fun as you'd think when the rear is sliding around as if it is on ice. All I can think is "Tires, I'm going to need tires soon."

The guy did say you need everything after the motor once you make the 1000hp. The OP asked a question and in my opinion got a damn good answer.

realcanuk 06-20-2015 04:10 PM

As Slowhawk said, there is a difference in making 1000, or making 1000 that is reliable and lasts.

To do 1000 that is reliable costs big money. Anyone that says it doesn't probably hasn't done it. It can be done on the cheap, but it wont last and wont be reliable. If you add up 1000hp capable blower or turbo system, built engine, fuel system, tranny and diff upgrades, wheels and tires, and thousands in misc stuff, it gets expensive fast. Every area that you save by not making it compatible, will cost you aggravation and money a bit later.
