Ordered my K&N today from OCD

Compliments of Tim over at OCD Customs in Brea, CA I broke down and ordered my K&N today. Real easy guy to deal with and said it'll ship out first thing tomorrow morning and I should have it by Tuesday! I opted for the K&N Aircharger kit and got a hell of a deal on it from Tim. I'm curious to see what kind of a difference it makes once I get it installed as I've heard the CAI on these Gen5's make a pretty good difference. I will keep everyone posted with pics after installed and my review of the kit but as for my review of OCD Customs I would highly recommend them and suggest if you're interested as well to shoot Tim a PM @ his username, OCD Customs.

I have the muffler delete as well and switching the resonator for an X-pipe tomorrow so I'm curious as to what difference the K&N might make.

Well figured I'd update...didn't get to switch the resonator yet for the X-pipe but did get the K&N today and installed it tonight. My review so far is that install was pretty straight forward and simple and took me longer to get in my trunk to get the darn battery unhooked then to put this thing on! Real good instructions that line up everything for you with pictures included every step of the way. I like that K&N supplied a vehicle specific Dyno sheet as well which I thought was a creative add-on to the package. After installing I fired it up and initially the sound under the hood...as people have stated before...is a lot louder which is expected with a CAI. I'm not sure if it was because of the muffler delete or what but I've started it three times now since installing and am getting a nice hot rod "pop" from the exhaust upon starting her up (L99 motor). Taking her around the block there is a nice bog down from the exhaust now that sounds a lot "cleaner" than before. Also light acceleration seems less restricted and more natural. Getting on it I was pleasantly surprised that it does have a deeper sound now and seems again to be less restricted. I will update as I get to drive it a little more but with the time being am pleased and would recommend to someone looking for a nice CAI at an affordable price (purchased from OCD Customs who is on this site for $274 with free shipping). Any specific questions on the intake let me know and I can answer them as best as I can.
