:welcome:I would like to jump right into things here. Starting with background. Ill try to make it quick but there’s a lot to cover.

I started young growing up in a custom body and paint shop. Cars, trucks, and even motorcycles of all kinds in and out all the time. “Car Life” as i call it was what I was born into (even though my family is known for hamburgers lol). My dad, who is/was/will always be my idle, owned and operated Twilight Customs and thats where all my inspiration for automobiles came from. He was a chevy guy with a 55 chevy bel air and a custom 1992 corvette. His love for chevy definitely rubbed off on me but all in all I fell in love with all autos, big, small, tall, slammed, fast, or the kind you just want to show off. I like’em all!

Fast forward to around 2007 or 2008 somewhere around that time. My dad and I make it out to see the new transformers movie. Of course there it is! Mr. Bumblebee himself :headbang: After the movie I went straight home and put a camaro picture (I believe it was the orange concept convertible) on my door. All the motivation I needed as I left for work everyday.

And then, the day finally came around. I went out and luckily got my first camaro. It was a 2010 2SS (non RS) black on black. I loved this car. It was my first sports car and I learned a tremendous amount of knowledge about how fast cars work and what they need to stay on the track. I did a couple mods to this car. Cold air intake was the only performance mod I had BUT I managed to put every aftermarket suspension piece you could throw on it minus coilovers. I sadly, thinking I was cool, put 22 inch Core three piece fully forged wheels on there too. It was a learning experience for sure. It was a sad day and a dumb decision when I traded it in. I got a truck and tried that life again.

Then I decided I would try cars again. I loved my 2010 so much that I decided to trade my truck in for another camaro. I went out and got my second camaro. A 2013 2SSRS black on black (again, even though they are horrible trying to keep clean). This car could have had it's own build journal but at the time I didn't care to document things. It was a 500rwhp N/A beast of a car :headbang: This car had it all! Headers, cam, full suspension including coilovers this time, better wheel and tire combo (forgestar 20" and Mickey drag radials), and a few aesthetic parts to flash things up. I did most of the work myself (everything but cam and tune) and really felt a connection to this car BUT....

In 2017 the 6th gen ZL1 comes out and its love at first sight. I couldn't resist. I went out and got a krypton green one! After seeing the 13 just sit there, I sadly came up with a stupid idea to sell it. So I did. :noidea:

So, that brings me to this. I couldn't take it anymore and after what feels like forever (its been like 4 months) I had to get back into a 5th gen. I wanted a special one this time around to prevent me from selling it in the future (or try to at least). I was lucky enough to find a 2013 Hot Wheels Edition!!! :happyanim: I bought it with 8k miles (practically brand new) for 28k which I thought was a great deal.

There's lots to be planned still but most likely ill be throwing a AGP twin turbo setup on there. I always wanted to try a turbo'd car. The suspension and a couple little things here and there will likely be taken care of first. It's going to be a long road but luckily ill be able to take the journey. Ill post some pics soon, when I find all the right ones.

Looking to mod

I already have the itch to mod this thing. So what to do? FUSE PULL!!! Luckily the hot wheels came with gmpp exhaust (npp). The flap can be modified to stay open via a fuse pull. Accessed in the truck of the car is the fusebox containing the right fuse needed to be pulled so I got to work! :headbang: You can see the box in this picture

Henderson Performance Technology in New Braunfels, Texas :headbang: Everyone says their turner is the best but trust me when I say this guy knows tuning!

That's what I thought. Corey has been working on my car since day 1. He is not only my tuner/mechanic, but one the best guys I've had the pleasure to meet.:happy0180:

I’ve been thinking of where to start with this car and I have come to the conclusion to, for now, just make it look good. I will be replacing some things and repairing some others. First will be to replace the windshield. Apon delivery there was a pretty hefty chip right in the middle of the windshield. Its an eye sore to me so thats my first step. Sadly this is very expensive. $750 for oem glass (which is needed for the HUD), the molding kit, and labor. This will put other things, mainly suspension, on hold for a while. So why I wait to recoup funds I figured I can repair some other things on the car. This car must have sat outside its whole life. There are some major sun weathered spots on the rubber trim pieces (see attached photo) and Im thinking of plasti dipping those to hide the corrosive spots. I would love to swap these trim pieces for new ones, maybe sometime in the future. Side note, the trim piece on the windshield that needs replaced is over $400 for parts and labor and as of now I feel painting over them and saving that money for other things is a smarter idea. More updates to come, Thanks for your time :headbang:

Wheels

Decided to swap the HRE wheels that were on my 17-ZL1 over to the hot wheels to see the look. The wheels look amazing BUT the tires are definitely not the right size. They are 285/30/20 up front and 305/30/20 rear. The look I think im going for would be a 275/40/20 and 315/30/20 tire sizes. Here’s a couple pictures for reference :headbang:

Here’s a little update. It was hard to track down a Heritage grill as they seem to have been discontinued (12/1/18), BUT I finally found one. Thank you River City Creations in San Antonio Texas for finding and painting it perfectly. Next is Forgestar F14’s in bronze burst, followed by windshield replacement, window trim replacement, and a really really good detailing :headbang:
