Ranger Raptor

I'm interested to see it.

I hope it makes Chevy put a real motor in the ZR-2.

Update: A Ford spokesperson confirmed to R&T that the Ranger Raptor shown here will only be available in Australia and New Zealand.

Because there isn't a more profitable F-150 Raptor in Australia for people to buy, yet there is still ample desert in Australia for people to blast through? That would be my guess.

I tend to, or hope to think like this fool...

https://www.fool.com/investing/2017/...spx?yptr=yahoo

It won't be here in 2019, but who knows what will happen after that... and maybe a Bronco Raptor even??

To be honest, even though I like the idea of Ranger Raptor, I do hope that F-150 keeps Raptor and that the Ford Performance Group uses the new US Ranger to make a Lightning successor.

Or...why not both? Who knows,

Along those lines ... with Chevy doing the ZR2, this might be a good time for GMC to revive the Syclone.

Now this idea I like, and stay true to TT V6 heritage in this case. A GMC sport truck Syclone with the LF3.

I think Ford will eventually bring the Ranger Raptor stateside, but we'll be looking at model year 2020 likely before that even happens since the Ranger is supposed to come in model year 2019 (I could be wrong about that...might be a 2020 release in calendar year 2019, but I didn't think it was going to be that long from now)

So yeah...said it before...say it again. If GM brings a TTV6 or V8 equipped Colorado/Canyon in either an offroad, or sport truck package (and a crew cab config) it will make me think about trading.

I think the Ranger is supposed to show up in 18 as a 2019 Model

crysalis_01 09-11-2017 04:30 PM

Ranger is CY 2018 as MY 2019
Bronco follows in CY 2019 as MY 2020

Back in early 2015 Ford Performance stated something like 12-15 new or revised FP Vehicles by 2020. So. . .

1. '16+ GT350
2. '16+ GT350R
3. '16+ F-150 Raptor
4. Revised Focus ST
5. Revised Fiesta ST
6. '17+ Focus RS
7. '16+ GT

8-12?
GT500?
Ranger Raptor?
Bronco Raptor?!
A Lightning successor?
Fusion ST? Since Ford has already stated that the SPORT is not a FP vehicle.
A new Mustang variant, Mach1 powered by a 3.5EB HO?

Who knows?

A smaller raptor that has just as capable suspension will be loads of fun and would sell here at the right price point.
