Flat Black Tail Light Bezel

so i saw this video..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5GWICk4XNg

and was wondering.. where do i get the black bezel in the first place? or is it painted? not only that but the film for the tint.. can i use any film or is it a special film? if you could help ill appreciate it :)

Talk to headlightarmor about the tint. They have pre cut tints for every light on the camaro. As for the bezels you can paint them DIY style or RPI sells them as well as many other venders.

Im going to plasti dip my bezels, hopefully this weekend.

Plasti dip is a great alternative to having to sand your chrome for the paint. With plasti dip, you just wash them off and spray a few coats. Done.

heres my plasti-dip spray bezels.

they look really good, and are really holding up to the winter.

plus if you want to go back to chrome you just peel off the rubber coating.

im going to do that this weekend.....plastidip is fantastic because it isnt permanent.....plan on doing this to my rims as well :happyanim:

Do you think 30-35 degrees is too cold to spray emblems or rims right now? Im impatient really and can't wait to do this now lol..

I'm wondering how this flat black would look on my black 2011. I like the flat look, if I get striping it will be flat I think. anybody have pics of a black camaro with this flat black plastidip bezel?

I think maybe I'll do my bowties like this rather than fork out the $135 for them.

They carry Plasti-dip at Home depot, in case you didn't know that.

spent $16 at home depot and bought 100grit, 600grit along with primer and some oil flat back spray paint.

After sanding, priming, priming some more and then three coats of paint, my bezels looks exactly how I wanted them. I am very happy with the results. I got my bezels off thanks to the OP's post n video :) thankyou thankyou!

Did you use a primer at all or just spray the plastidip right on the chrome?
