1967 Camaro Turbo Build
Some pics from my build thread on LS1Tech:
Started out as as a 502 BBC / 8-71 pro street car: https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/ls1tech...db55841c05.jpg Sold motor and blower as was the plan: https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/ls1tech...131e773368.jpg Has 15x14's on it: https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/ls1tech...3a3646128d.jpg |
Took it over to my buddy's shop (Manna Motorsports, Schiller Park IL by O'Hare Airport)...

Onto to Phase 2 (wiring). Then Phase 3 (brakes, fuel system, start up). |
Looking good

Nice!!

Lookin' good..
That thing must have been scary with that 871 blown big block and manual drum brakes.. Yikes. Phase 3 needed for sure. I do like the purple drums though.. LOL. . |
To be honest, this car didn't have enough fuel system to make big power with the blower, a single Holley pump. But the guy who briefly owned it before me said it was hard to stop it on the street.
Car has a purple theme in addition to the yellow, I had to repaint the roll bar. The 9" is purple too lol. Getting Strange brakes front and rear. I might keep it on big tires. I see you have a prostreet car too. |
That things looks like it's gonna be a beast when it's done. Mine's a little more old school, traditional ProStreet. I did have thoughts about doing a turbo or pro charged LS in mine at one time a few years back.

This '67 was as well, I thought it would make a good platform for a 7.99 car.

:w00t:, 7.99, nice. Are you keeping it strictly a track car or will it see some street use? Mine's pretty much a street car. All steel with a full interior. I take it to cruise nights and shows a few times a month with the occasional weekend cruise and I drive to work every once and a while. I'm pretty sure I'd break some parts at the track with sticky tires and the T56. Likely the T56..LOL:smiling1:. . |
