Easiest way to get to 700hp on a ZL1?

What's the easiest way to get to 700 crank horsepower on an LSA engine?

I'm thinking of adding high flow, ported LSA heads from GPI, a smaller pulley (what size pulley should I run?), a GPI camshaft (for forced induction), a Roto-Fab intake, and then I already have fully ceramic coated ARH long tube headers and full exhaust.

Will all of that plus a tune put me around 700hp at the crank?

is the car an auto or manual? and how are you planning to calculate it into flywheel HP?

i work as a tuner here at GPI, and for reference last week i made 548/548 in a 2015 ZL1 M6 car wth nothing but a 5% lower pulley and headers.

with more boost, heads, and a cam i would not be surprised to see 650 range from the build you have specd out.

give us a call anytime if you have any questions.

thanks,
Ben

The car is a manual.

My thought was that if the car put down something like 630-640 at the wheels (on a Mustang dyno), that would be around 700hp at the crank. The number isn't that important to be honest, but I have heard from others that that's about the most power you can expect out of the ZL1s factory blower.

I am in the process of speaking with Ronnie at GPI this morning, and I think I'm going to have him put together a package for me with heads, a cam, a pulley, etc. I think that should probably get me to where I want to be.

If I have to port the blower, I may just start looking at replacing it with a Whipple or Magnuson unit, as I know those units are higher flow (and more efficient) units to begin with.

Those numbers you put down on that 2015 ZL1 are not bad at all for just having a smaller pulley and headers, I'm impressed!

Maggie 2350 is on my wish list..believe that is best for our cars vs. 28% overdriving the TVS1900..

don't forget fuel supply and cooling.

Swap on a ProCharger. :D

I run a D1X Stage II @ 14psi on a stock L99 bottom end with auto trans and made 723 rwhp pump 93 and 760 rwhp on pump E85.

Your 6l80 is holding that power?

Honestly man you're better off checking out the ctsvowners.com forum. They have the LSA's down to a science. DO NOT waste your money swapping blowers the little LSA if VERY efficient and is capable of 800+ rwhp maxed out of course.

Also about 605 rwhp will put you right at 700 crank. Check out this link to get an idea of what people are doing to achieve this number.
