900 HP Blown 429 Insanity! [COTW 4/30/12]
My '10 SS with just over 3,000 miles on it, was just not doing it for me power wise. I had a '68 in high school, and never really had the money to do what I wanted to with it.
I decided to do it right this time. Here's the build sheet (copy and pasted from the email the shop sent) EnglandGreen Chaos F1R Package Stroker Package: Use existing LS3 as core. Shooting for 850 at the wheels. :drinking: |
Nice build. I don't think you will have any issues hitting your power goals. Is the F1R on there for mock-up purposes or is the engine being installed with it on?
|
You need something to catch the driveshaft when it flys out.

Wrong gear.

Very nice! What expecting for horsepower/torque?

He didn't list cam specs, tire size, or what type of racing if any he is doing. Where did you draw this conclusion? Argent, Definately looks like a nice build. |

Nittos (stock rims) don't have the cam specs handy. I'll be using it just on the street, with a run on the dragstrip maybe 4-5 times a year. It's just the right gearing to get that heavy ass off the line.. :D |

Very nice Agent Utah. You should bring that thing to some of our events here in Utah. If you ever go to DYNO Days at JDP Motorsports in Sandy I'm pretty sure you'll win for highest RWHP when you're done building that thing.
|
When are we going to see that thing run at RMR or Track Days out at MMSP in Tooele?

Love the build but I would be worried with a LS3 stroked to 429ci with 9:8:1 and using LS3 heads with an F1R. The McLeod RXT is awesome but I am guessing it is only a matter of time before the trans fails without upgrading it as mine didnt last very long. I would highly recommend a driveshaft as well as you have put together a great build but the stock ds could cause some big issues if it comes apart. Good luck you are going to love the F1R.

Nice build...definately will need to do the 9" sooner or later,And I'd say bout 15lbs of boost and you'll be hitting your goal....keep us updated:thumbsup:
