Managed to get most of the install done. Just have to extend the MAF wires and double check all the connections. Then refill the power steering fluid, load a tune when I get it and start her up and hope it works.

Looking good!!! Did the washer tank lid come in black??

IPF/Arno have the tunes waiting. As soon as I got the flash module I was able to down load from their website and flash the ECU. The first tune gave me an idle dive when I would come to a stop and depress the clutch. Arno had this fix within 1hr and I was running again. Arno has been great with just the obd data I have feedback to him. Car run really great right now. Can't wait to get back from vacation and get it back on the dyno.

Yeah they have been very helpful with the questions I have had so far during this quest. I just dont know what to do for the actual tune module. I wish I could buy a used one. Because I dont want to rent one...but I dont want to pay the $700 or whatever for everything. Maybe it can all work out. But back to the thread...the build is looking great man! I cant wait to start mine! Stuff is supposed to arrive Saturday!

You won't be sorry with the IPF system ! I understand the $ issues. This is not cheap by any means.

Patrick864 RS 07-25-2013 03:36 PM

Oh I know! I plan on never getting rid of this car. And wanted to make it my own. And in reality this deal was going to be way cheaper than eventually getting an SS and then modding it. So why not have a fast and unique v6? Gotta pay to play though I guess you could say.

It was blue, but the person before me painted it black. I have swapped it out for a black one right now.

Waiting on my tune now, ordered it this morning.

Wahoo, got it started up and running. Going to drive it to work and hope I don't break something. Power Steering fluid went back perfectly, no noises from turning.

Here is a video, I have never done a supercharger install so I don't know what a normal sound is. Everything sound normal to the experts?

sounds good, make sure all clamps are tight and get some new oil for the SC unit, change it since you may not be sure when it was originally done. FYI, get a spare belt and tools to change on the side of the road, I have never had too, but I know the belts are sometimes hard to get in an emergency. I have 15k on my belt and so far no problems. Let us know what you think later,,, PERMAGRIN...

That all sounds good. Be sure to tell us how it all feels :D

I changed the oil in the supercharger yesterday, wanted to start fresh. I drove it 17 miles to work and its awesome. I still haven't gotten past 4k RPM's, roads are wet right now. Love the boost sound though.

Only thing that worries me was exhaust pulsing at high load, probably needs more time to learn.

40 mph in 4th gear in my M6 makes the coolest whistling sound ~2K rpm. People on the sidewalk turn to see what the heck is coming down the road.

If you haven't gone beyond 4K rpm, you haven't seen anything yet...
