Pricing on ZL1 & ZL1 1LE too good to be true?!?!
I have been shopping for a ZL1 for a while now and the 1LE has always been out of the question because of the price difference. I am from New England but willing to shop further away for a great deal.
I did some further searching on cargurus, cars.com, and autotrader and it seems like a few dealerships down south have outrageous discounts that seems too good to be true. So good in fact that a ZL1 1LE is cheaper than getting a local "regular" ZL1( who by the way wont take a single penny off sticker price)..... I am wondering who have actually dealt with these dealerships in Miami, Florida because I can't confirm whether they actually have these vehicles in stock. It's mainly Bomnin Chevy and Miami Lakes who have these ridiculous prices. EVEN with their higher dealer processing fees, they are still much cheaper. I even called and have been emailing them and they confirmed pricing is true except for the conquest incentive so my selling pricing would be their online price PLUS $2000 which still is around 7.5k off msrp.... Could it be because they are volume and have too many ZL1 1LEs in stock...? It's become so hard to trust all these dealerships with these fake reviews online.... Ahh, yes the old "advertise more discounts than anyone can possibly get" trick.
You won't get $7k off. More like $3k or $4k. But if you want to head on down to get out of the cold for a nice little Camaro shopping trip, $3k in savings will pay for it :thumb: |
Right now the way the car sales are $7.5 would not be out of the question, it would not hurt to check into it.

Definitely possible.
I've done a couple long distance deals for this very reason. Just make sure you confirm you qualify for all other discounts being applied. If you're doing a trade of any kind it'll be tougher - but still possible. I had my 2010 SS trade-in appraisal all done remotely by taking a lot of detailed pictures. At that point they were able to give me the true out the door price before I even made the trip (which I actually never even had to do - they brought it to me). So long story short - good job finding your deal - now make it happen. |
you never know, but odds are they will hit you with the old "that one just sold, but now that you are here let me show you some sililar cars" trick.

I already called them to confirm and Bomnin said the only offer is the $2000 chevy conquest offer and if I dont qualify, Ill just have to add 2k on top of the internet price... |
read Bomnin's reviews online.. probably the worst ive ever seen about any business. plenty of complaints about bait and switch pricing too..

Bomnin had 2181 in fees on the deal in writing that i got. There is a 500 florida fee and a 300 fee for wheel locks as part of that 2181 plus i was going to have to trailer home or ship enclosed home and my local dealer came in better as their fees were only 500 and i don't have to pay 300 for wheel locks. If you are willing to travel to northern nh i can give you contact info if you pm me. Not sure if he can get allocation right away but you never know

Just a FYI, I bought my car at Miami lakes chevy (mall)
I got all the discounts!!! Crazy but I had the farmers discount, LOL FLfarmbureau insurance down here. My car was 59K plus 500 fee and tax. Of course they try to upsell and come up with wacky fees, told them to F* with the BS fees and they laughed. -Bobby |

I called them while cross shopping for mine.... they have a $2500 Mustang Conquest rebate baked into their pricing, which you only quality for if you currently own a 1999 or newer mustang.
