Few questions. on the oil and 2 screws im missing

well i have a few questions. today i got back on my car since i was on vacation to notice that the dealership never filled up my oil, but had put a little so i went ahead and stopped at a autzone and filled up with Mobil 1 Extended Performance..is that oil good or bad? its the 5w-30
here is a picture

also

the screws on the tunnel brace or bracket that is under the car by the cats...well somehow they ended up getting loose and both flew out and i dropped the brace/bracket but recovered it! so i wanan know what size of screw they need? anyone know where i can find that?

Good oil just confused about the problem. Did the dealer not fill it up fully? That would be odd under your circumstances. If so to what line on the dipstick was it?

+1 on the oil.

Is the bracket you're talking about the black one that is 5" wide and about 18" across and sits across the resonators?

If so, that takes 4 bolts. They take a 15mm wrench and are an inch or so long. heavy bolt- should have been in pretty tight!

You could check on the V8 Eng. forum. Some of those guys replaced those to install 3" pipes and needed longer ones.

If you don't get a response, I could pull one of mine and check it at Home Depot tomorrow!
Should be O.K. to drive a bit without it.

I've heard a few people on this forum say NOT to use the extended performance oil. I'm not 100% why, just telling you what I read.

Let me get this straight...........
You are the one who's engine was cooked and replaced by the dealer (most likely because of low oil)
You have the engine replaced by the dealer and they deliver your car with a new engine, and short the original oil fill by 2 quarts?????

And they left the bolts loose on the tunnel brace, I'd march my a$$ right back to the dealer......

So between panda and myself....we have an instance of improper installation of the oil filter on my car and low oil and bolts missing on the tunnel brace on panda's car.

Maybe GM needs to do some quality control on these dealer service shops?

Your case is a bit different then Panda IMO.

Your issue was not noticable till driven. His issue should have been seen the minute he picked up the car! the 1st thing he should have done was checked the oil before taking posession and raised holy hell and refuised to take the car if it were even the slightest bit low.

Yea....I did check the oil before I drove off the lot.

But I still don't blame him though.....the install should be the last of our worries. I mean they are certified right?
