Mine is similar to yours. 2LT/RS RJT/Black MN6 Sunroof, Black rally stripes, and painted engine cover.

Maybe I jumped the gun on this thread, but I saw a bunch of 8/31 TPWs on The Viz's thread. COME ON PEOPLE, GET IN HERE! ITS NEVER TOO EARLY TO START A PARTY!

They are afraid of us. RedRaider, when did you order? I ordered on May 19th. I had to make sure I was able to see the car and do a test drive before ordering one. There were 10 people ahead of me at Shaheen Chevrolet in Lansing. So at first I called my dealer and checked in once a month. After 2 months I hit 2000.

This is actually my second car that I picked out. The first one I picked out is the Camry I drive currently. My dad is actually retired from GM, but we never had a huge brand loyalty. Crazy thing is my Camry was assembled in Kentucky and a good majority of the car parts say "Denso, Detroit MI" on them.

I do want to see how many years I can get out of the Camry, but my wife's car lease is due next year, so I figured I'll get a cool car and I got the Camaro.

I ordered June 9 at Reliable Chevrolet in the North Dallas area. I bought my Tahoe off of their used lot 5 years ago, and a friend at work referred me directly to her salesman there. I was in a line of 26 people when I ordered, but Reliable has a decent allocation, and I am glad to have moved to 3000 in under 2 months after having bought from the closest dealership without seeking an immediate open allocation.

I was like you, and wanted to test drive one first. But then my friend at work took delivery on 6/4, and 5 days later, still without test driving, I ordered. I got to drive the dealership's demo V8 the following Saturday, and then drove the V6 a few weeks later. I rented a V6 for a longer test drive, and was very happy with my decision.

I ORDERED MINE ON JULY, 15 AND IM @ 3000 HOPE I GET A VIN SOON....

I have a TPW of 8/31. I sat at 1100 for months with a dealer that BSed me about having allocation. Last week I decided to jump ship. Another forum member recommended this dealer:

I called Becky on Monday August 3rd and was at 3000 Tuesday. I got my TPW Saturday. Plus she charges MSRP!:thumbup:

Ordered from classic so it took me awhile but I finally got my TPW!

got mine coming 8/31 too. Ordered Jun 16th took a while to find a dealer who would work with me over the web. Dealer said it would be ready when i get home on leave but not going to be the case wont be ready untill after i go back to the desert. Guess the wife will have fun with it untill i get there at Xmas time.

After seeing the TPW provided by Viz, all I could do was smile.

This is my second order. I went from 1100 on July 30 to 3000 with a TPW on Aug 10.

I was #12 with the first dealer after 11 1/2 weeks with no end in sight. I'm glad I changed dealers.

Its so awesome to finally be in a TPW thread! Lets hope we are all on time. I've seen quite a bit of slip on 8/3 TPW.

me too that concerns me a bit. but yes, very happy just to be on a TPW thread after sitting at 1100 for 2 months!

Checking in! Ordered on 7-29-09, and as of 8-8-09 Viz had me at 3000 with a TPW 8-31-09. Sweet deal!:happyanim:

CGM 2SS/RS with black leather & sunroof

Anyone have any suggestions on an aftermarket exhaust? I want that V8 to sound like a V8.

Awesome everybody! I ordered June 26th a 2SS CGM IOT. When do you reAlistically think we will be taking delivery? I am still trying to get into my mind a time frame. Been trying to figure one out from the other guys but can't tell how long it is from TPW to delivery. Oh well I'm excited!:drinking:

The average seems to be 2 to 3 weeks after being produced for the north and 3 to 5 weeks for us here in the south. hopefully sooner than later!

whats up everyone, just found out yesterday i hit 3000 tpw 8/31 or at least i thought that's what the date means after the number. correct me if i'm wrong, i hope i didn't just get my hopes up for nothin....we gotta few texas boys in here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, whats up people?!?! Who's ready to get this sweet a$$ ride? I found out I went 3000 TPW 8/31 on 8/6. Now the wait is just going to get more and more unbearable. Once the build week hits, I probably won't be able to sleep until I get it. Oh well, we all know this wait will be worth it!!

This is my second order, original order # A02513974 on 10/14/08. I found out my dealer had my car for sale online before it ever arrived 6/1/09, they ended up selling it for $12,000.00 over MSRP due to a Market Adjustment that was not disclosed to us at the time of order and there was nothing I could do about it:(
However reordered from Kelsey Chevrolet in Purcell Oklahoma about two hours from where I live on 6/17/2009 and am now at a TPW of 8/31/09!
Is there anyone else in Oklahoma with a 8/31/09 TPW?

Hello all of you happy TPW 8/31's! Here is my story. Wife and I go to our dealership June 16th. We'd like to order a new camaro. No problem, we can order it now, takes 6 weeks. Wow, 6 weeks? Great, lets do it. 5 weeks later, we are still at 1100. WTF!!! Dealer "Had no idea" he needed an allocation. 2 more weeks. Still at 1100. WTF!!! My wife gets mad enough to call the GM customer care line. The guy she spoke to not only got us to 3000 the very next day, but put my wife on hold, called our local dealership, and chewed their a$$!!! He told us you will have your car in 6 weeks. I am more than anxiously awaiting the day it arrives!

I'm a 8/31 as well. I ordered from a dealer about 45 miles away after being told by the local dealer that they could get me one but kept dodging the question "do you have an allocation". I ordered on 6/27 but it took until 8/4 to move to 2000 partially due to the 6M problem. I ordered a 2SS/RS Victory Red/black interior 6M LS3 and can't wait until it arrives!:chevy: Will make a great garage mate to my 69 SS 396 Camaro! I already have a California cover with "Camaro SS/RS" embroidried on it, Camaro SS floor mats and a Zaino kit waiting for it's arrival.:thumbsup:

Got a question this is the first check on my stats got a 3300 8-24-09 what does the date mean and what is TPW can some one explain

3300 = Scheduled For Production (Order is scheduled into the plant build cycle)

the date is your TPW = Tentative production week (the week your car is scheduled to roll down the assembly line and be built)

i cant friken wait!!! i ordered on june 7, and have been patiently waiting but idk how much longer i can wait!!! lol just cant wait for that phone call saying its ready to pick up

I may be the only one depressed about my TPW of 8/31... Found out I was being laid-off around the same time I got the TPW of 8/31 do not think I will be able to afford one now hope I will be able to get my $500 deposit back.

Sorry to hear that but in this economy most of us could be in the same boat as you at any time. Scary! :yikes: Hopefully you can find a new job and be able to still get your Maro.
