This will also allow car show participants who would like to participate in other events to have her or his vehicle judged then move on to other events.

We are also going to change up how we judge we will be setting up 2 tents this year. When you are ready to have your vehicle judged you will drive up to the tent to have your vehicle judged and when done we will place a colored DOT on your registration card and you can park back into the show area this will allow us to get vehicles judged more quickly, allow you to participate in other events at the show.

On Saturday same as Friday when you are ready to be judged you will pull up to the tent and we will judge your vehicle you then pull back into the show area.

We will be walking around and choosing the Best of Classes on Saturday.

Is there Category for a Daily Driver with 72K miles, that sees 50 freeway miles a day, at the beach, sand and rocks, it is tough on the front end. Had the Indy Stripes replaced last year, still looks like it has been sandblasted. The splitter has freckles or measles. oh well , life at the beach.

We do have a best daily driver award so yours will be eligible for that award as well as the 5th Gen class award.

When we did the Fbody Gathering in Atlanta every memorial day weekend we had the judged classes then the “Reunion Class” we would pick 10-15 cars we liked the best not judged on anything just what we liked.

We would dig real deep for judging into classes (stock, modified, super modified, and full out custom) plus we broke it down to trailer class and driven classes as well.

If this show continues to grow I can see something like this working for this show.

CFest has always been about the driven car and we have the "Best Daily Driver" award.

In recent years more and more trailer show cars have showed for a more serious event. One reason we did judging on Sat was to allow cars driven time to clean up. But like I mentioned... the competition has gotten pretty tough.

Glad you asked the question and good luck with the Best Daily Driver it's meant for guys like you.

I love the "Best Daily Driver" class, as stated. I love to see these cars on the road, in all weather conditions. Shows how well a good car, with a good driver can have a 'fun' experience all the time.

But I would like to know more about how this category is judged because these cars will have imperfections, mileage, show a little wear on the interior, etc.. so it has to be one of the most difficult to judge. What are the judges looking for, in this category? For example, if it's a 2011-2013 model, is it a minimum of miles on it, say 50k to qualify?

I'll let Sean answer how he plans to do this but did get involved with this one a couple years ago and it was super tough to figure out what was a Daily or not simply because they all looked so good. I like your suggestions on this one.

Thanks. I still see 2010-2012 with original tires on them. Ain't no way you have a 18-19 year old car, call it a daily driver, and still have OEM tires and brakes. :iono: But I know people that "call it that".

Maybe a minimum of 10-12k miles a year, based on the car year?

I am working up new judging sheets that will include a check box for listing daily drivers.

That wouldn't be a Show and Shine award but rather a CFest overall award. :smoking:

mspeed1LE 05-13-2019 07:27 PM

That'd work!
