No...'bout 3,900 with HD driveline/brakes/ZL1 wheels-tires and careful content...

I think the car looks pretty darn good to start with. I like the ZL1 style touches but the key will be price!

Figure on low-mid $40s, depending on final content and/or options. It will bridge the pricing gap, and performance gap, between SSs and the ZL1.

You think that light? How much does a no option 1SS LS3 weigh? 3,800?

I was guessing around 4,000. MR, bigger brakes, trans, and rear.

I like your number though.

...brakes are two-piece rotors...forged 20s and HP rubber saves some as well. Figure about 150-200 less than ZL1, depending on final content. Non-heated cloth would save some etc.

I'd like to think the results (in living black 'n white) are fairly helpful...but more input would be a good thing. The last surveys closed in on 250 total responses... :chevy:

They do listen. I got a COPO survey the other day. I wish the other 50,000 members would vote on this car though. Now that would be a voice.

1) I have a client interested in TWO...a 327/2.3L and an LS7...

2) The more consensus, the more accuracy...

Isn't the handbuilt LS7 double the price of an LS3 crate? Give it up people. It's on its' way out.

This has nothing to do with the 1LE.

snizzle 02-15-2012 06:43 PM

But everything to do with the thread as I noticed many LS7 references as I read through it.
