Oil pan removal using engine hoist...

Hi,

During my cam swap, I plan on using an engine hoist to lift the engine so I can remove the oil pan (putting in baffles).. Assuming the car is on jack stands and the heads are off, is there enough clearance before I hit the firewall to remove the oil pan or do I still need to drop the cradle?

Thanks

i would say no.i cut and welded flanges,so now i can unbolt my cross member.there isnt much room to lift the engine at all.maybe someone will chime in that has other ideas.

Never gonna happen with the trans connected. Your best bet is the crossmember mod...

As much as id love to do the flange mod, I don’t want to go that route. I don’t plan on doing this again. I’m getting too old for this LOL.
