Ordering a PDIM kit for my 1SS. Hope the kit works properly.

Let us know what happens. I'm sure that as long as you asked for the proper part number, it'll work out perfectly.
|
Let's hope it goes well for you too. If so, I plan to find a dealer who can do mine when I get home.

If you guys order it from us, we'll make sure you get the new part number!

I was having trouble with my radio flipping from the last source to the USB when turning on the car, randomly. This was on a bulletin for some other USB audio items... the dealer downloaded an update, but I still have the same HW/SW version

Is the PDIM supposed to Index EVERY time the car starts if the USB drive isnt ever removed? I gave up on my USB drive that supports only 2500 files in the Camaro anyways. Went to an 8GB Ipod Touch and works fine about half the time.
It gets the file index wrong on the Ipod too. Menu > Artists > Album > Song. There will be artists in the albums area and artists in the songs menu. As soon as you click on one of those things that shouldnt be there (like when i see an artist name under a song menu for another band), it takes a dump. The only workaround I've found is to cycle all the way through the artists until it rolls over. The first 5 artists also show up blank on startup. Again, rolling all the way through and over back to the A's the data populates usually. AUSGHFGSFHGFGSKGFGSF:FJSK:LJKLHFLFSHLHFLH!!!!! |

Does anyone know if PN 20985421 comes with software, or does it have to be flashed after installation?
|
Where does the software live? In the PDIM, or in the radio?

Will a 2011 camaro ss need an update also?
Also, i posed this on another thread but i thought someone on here might be able to help I have playlists on my wife's ipod and when i plug it into my 2011 camaro it works like a dream. I can access all the playlists from the stereo display and they play just fine. My question is, is there any way to get the same functionality on my android phone? When i plug it in, the camaro "indexes" and seems to recognize all my songs and artists which is fine. But i really want it to recognize the play lists i have on the phone and i cant seem to figure out how to get it to that. Any tips? What USB "mode" do I need to put my phone in? Just usb mass storage mode? will any of the other modes work? I really want to be able to use my phone like an ipod. Also, will a Zune player be like my phone (no playlists) or will playlists work properly in the camaro on a zune player, just not my phone? |
