Clutch pedal spring?

How many of you have removed your clutch pedal return/overcenter spring?

I have and the clutch feels real now.

I did with my Monster LT1-SC and the pedal felt much better after the spring was removed.

I snapped a couple of them on my old Firehawk. I stopped replacing them and never noticed much of a difference one way or the other.

What does this spring do? Cause the clutch to return to the top more quickly?

Lets not talk about what the spring does or doesn't do. I just want to know how many of us have removed it.
