New 16 info with ZL1 references
|
Is there any truth to any of it?
|
We will see tomorrow, looks legit with other references I have read.
|
I mean...the LT4 S/C V8 with 640HP does sound about right to me if they were to bring the ZL1 into the 6th Gen Camaro.
Just kind of disappointing as I'm sure they could have bumped the HP up a bit to compete with the Hellcat. Crap, I think I'm pushing 640HP with only the simple bolt on mods I have.. I do like the sounds of the interior upgrades though...those are going to be sweet if this report turns out to be true. |
I think with the weight loss and 8spd auto they could take the fat cat. But just to make sure bump the hp to 706 (just to piss off Fiat) and then blow it's doors away.

When will we see this ZL1 you think. I am saying two years.
|
Probably a good assumption if they stick to the Gen 5 time line. I bet they shake it up a little.

My next car will definitely be the 6th gen ZL1, saving up for it starting today haha.
I think I'll wait for 2nd or 3rd year production though... just till they work all the kinks out. |
The Dodge Hellicarrier is 4,500 lbs. That is more than 1996 Impala SS. If you throw out at 3700 pound car that weighs 800 lbs less with about 70 less horsepower that works out well. Uncontrolled horse is fun but not effective.
I want to see them take a stock Hellcat to The Ring so I can watch it coast off into the woods:pop2: They are kinda like Fat Amy in 'Pitch Perfect'. They can do some great stuff, but it's fascinating to watch. |
I think its legit. I think this all seems inline with typical expectations.
I think if a 2016 Camaro SS matches a Gen5 Camaro 1LE plus MagRide... That's a great combo especially considering the Gen5 1LE is outstanding as is. Ford just got their a$$ handed to them. That's too bad cuz I like all american muscle. |

My guess on this it's the Z28 for those that that didn't want to spend on Z/28 and ZL1 |
