I disagree, on the one hand but agree on the other. If you are talking about a very limited production car like a Yenko, a COPO Camaro, a Z-L1 I agree changing out the engine or modding in general is a mistake. Not because it is no longer "true" any more but because of its historical significance and rarity.

On the other hand if you have one of 100,000 who cares. I think it is a personal accomplishment to take something you love and make it better. It's something that you can look at and take pride in knowing that you did it.

Way to go Killer!!! More people should have the courage to do what you are doing.

tweaked and tuned that will be an awesome powerplant.

I just need to mention this though:

Suspension, Suspension, Suspension.
and brakes

oh yeah did I say Suspension

My buddy had a '71 and god it wallowed all over the place.
Cross 2 timezones going around a corner and did 60-0 in about a week and half.
