Tuesday January 13th 2009, General Motors and Barrett Jackson Collector Car Auctions hosted VIP's for a day of on track activities and special car previews at the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving. In conjunction with the 2009 Barrett Jackson Scottsdale Auction, VIP's were treated to hot laps by Bob Bondurant, Mike McGovern, Craig Meintzer, and John Heinricy on the Bondurant 1.6 mile, 15-turn road course in their new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1's!! 638 Supercharged Horsepower! (A 2-Day ZR1 High Performance Driving School at The Bondurant School is now provided by G.M. to each purchaser of a new ZR1!)

In addition to the hot laps, General Motors brought out 2010 Chevrolet Camaro's for the VIP's to drive on the Bondurant Track! Virtually no one has had the opportunity to drive these cars, let alone on a racetrack! Also on tap were several very special G.M. cars to be previewed prior to the Auction, one of which was the famed "Snakeskinner ZR1 Corvette!" What a great start to the excitement of the 2009 Barrett Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona!

I think that's the best ABM pic we've seen, just the right amount of light. I like this color more every time I see it.

:word:

When I first saw ABM, I thought it had no business on a Camaro. I still won't get it, but I don't hate it anymore. Great pics!

Back tires look bald on both the SS cars, must be driving the hell out of them. Maybe their slicks:iono:

So what's the story behind these pics? Who took em? Why were they there? When were they there?

Found it myself... fascinating...

P.S. Whoever decided to tag camaro5.com on them should probably undo that as obviously the pics didn't originate here.

I drove a Solstice and a Vette there last November, but I would have given anything to be there and flog a Camaro SS.

WOW!!!!
