UPDATE: What would you do?
UPDATE: After a few weeks of working wtih the Dealership and GM customer service, the issue has been resolved. The dealership has ordered me a new 1LE Camaro and it should arrive in 5-6 weeks. Its nice to know the dealership did was was right.
Im extremely happy that they are doing the right thing. Even though this has caused me some issues with my faith in Chevy i do believe it will come back as strong as it was. Lets just pray that it will arrive clean and issue free. Ive had this 2014 for almost two weeks now. Brought it to the dealership today (finially have a day off) to show them these. They are all over the car. Even the dealership says they are under the clear coat. Do you just have them repaint the whole car? I know its stupid to some of you but that doesnt really make it a new car anymore to me. Two weeks old and most if not all the car needs to be repainted. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...172540_113.jpg http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...172859_230.jpg http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...72727_3991.jpg http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...172557_680.jpg On top of this i just recieved my floor mats and embroidered center console that should of came with the camaro. Also i ordered the ZL1 side skirts a month before picking her up and they still arent done. Just really makes this car buy process seem like shit to me. I finially get a brand new camaro and its just going down hill. |
Go ahead and call customer service. I had paint issues on my '11 SS and went through the process. I met with a GM rep and they ordered me a new car-a '12 model. The process was fairly smooth.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. Im guessing as you know it just really sucks.
|
Definitely does suck. Good luck. I would start the process asap as one of the first questions were my mileage. It also won't hurt if your dealer will help fight due to it being a factory defect.
|
As our cars are all painted assembly line by robots it appears you had a hydraulic hose spray your car between the coats from a high pressure leak............that's my theory. Good luck, I would get a new car ..........or a total repaint asap.
|
Customer service on that for sure!!! No way you should have it repainted, they should produce another car exactly like yours and do a replacement.
|
Good thing our paint is covered for defects.

Casper, I seen your car this past weekend at Bartonsville. I noticed all of that red spatter all over your car. I did not say anything to you because I thought it was from whatever you put on your tires. It looked like the stuff on the( tire dressing) tire was slung all over the car. :noidea: |
Make them fix it. You paid too much of your hard earned money for this car. I hope they don't give you any trouble.

Yeah i was thinking it might of been some splatter from the tires but it wont come off. The dealership said it was deff under the clear coat. Im really surprised it wasnt caught. Ill be at the dealership tomorrow so i will see what they say. Im guessing if i asked for another one it would take over a month to get here and im pretty sure if they repainted it it would take over a month. If i didnt keep this camaro what would happen with it? |

:yikes:
Chevy should replace the car. No way should you be expected to keep it as is. factory defect. |
If they give you a replacement, yours will either be auctioned or donated to a trade school....that's what I was told when they replaced mine. I would definitely push for a new one. Just remember, a little kindness goes a long way!
