Pegasus Camber Plates FS

Selling a set of Pegasus camber plates. I grabbed these second hand in the fall but never installed them. I just sold the 1LE, so it's time to liquidate the track stuff.

$230 Back for sale.

Do you know if these will work on a 2013 1SS (non-1LE) with stock shocks and BMR springs?

Mach83 08-14-2018 08:10 PM

These came from a 2013 SS with non coil-overs. The previous owner was using them on this 2013 SS equipped with factory Z28 multimatics. I bought them for my 2015 SS with a 1LE package, which although has different springs - doesn't differ as far as I know from the SS. Check out this link.

I'm sorry, but I can only tell you what I know about these as related to the previous owner and my own intended application. Specific questions for specific after-market items will require further research. I've heard the guys at Pegasus are really responsive. Check this out.

The bottom pics on that page show a 2012+ with non-coil overs, which is what these are.

Are camber plates typically used on the front of the car? I need to correct my rear camber on my lowered '10 and not sure if these would be an option.

Mach,

These plates are shot, just got em and both perches are totally bent. See pictures, one is not even close to flat. I will PM you too, would appreciate a refund and no point in calling pegasus for replacements, design is not strong enough.

That stinks - Just got the PM you sent me after you posted this here......I'll certainly refund you. Please don't discard the plates as I'll need them back to take it up with the seller that I got them from and or the manufacturer. Like I said - never installed them so had no reason to suspect.

I have made and sold over 100 sets of these. The underside of the strut tower isnt perfectly flat, as they are made for the foam pad that fits in there stock. The plates conform to them after about 100 miles or so. Thats why we made the plates from 6061, 7075 aluminum would crack, 6061 conforms to the surface. Mine are the original prototypes, still running them like that for 25k miles.

Thanks for the info!

Mgizzle - I initiated a full refund. Please at your convenience send those back my way so someone else can make use of them. Sounds like this is normal/expected. I PM'ed you as well.

And Mgizzle, they are plenty strong enough. They are based on the original.Pfadt design that has been around since 2010, and have never seen one break. When they went out of business, I redesigned them with THICKER plates on top and bottom just because I could, especially since I had to redesign them for later model hood brackets and spring seats that they didn't account for. Ours have been sold for over 3 years at this point, and while I have been asked about the plates conforming to the strut towers, I have never had a set broken or returned, including those sold through one of our distributors, JDP, who know quite a bit about racing 5th Gens. The only other design solution would have been to (1) machine them in a dome shape (expensive), (2) make them like other plates that have to be drilled to mount into the strut towers so they self-support, or (3) make the lower plate from steel, which wouldnt bend, but would be difficult to adjust because they wouldnt conform to the inner strut tower, so the edges would dig into the car. You could have reached out to us via our website, and I could have eased any concerns.
