So for the A6 people
Just found out that if you are in manual mode but hold the right paddle towards you the tranny goes back to S (auto) mode. Did everyone else know this?

Yup

If you hold down either paddle it goes back into S mode.

Yep, M mode is the only way that drive. I tapshift 99% of the time, then use the right tapshifter to put it back in sport mode when im on the highway.

It has multiple personalities! And guys with manuals thought they had fun.

I did not know that. Looks like I'll have to try it in March or April. A cold front is upon us here in North Texas. Time to get a refill on depression meds.

I had to explain this twice in two week to new Camaro owners I tuned.
They also thought the M mode was only for using paddle shifters. They didn't know it would shift on its own in M mode. After calibration, most owners use the paddle shifters less because the transmission is more responsive after calibration. Phil |

It wasn't a challenge! |
Hell after having my car for 18 months I just started using Manual Mode and DAMN it's like a completely different car. It feels like the car is way more responsive and it even sounds different to me at least. I HAVE to drive it in Manual Mode now.
