The Dark RS wheels not close to the website..

Was anyone surprised, like I was, that the dark RS rims in real life are not that dark?

I've been a member of this forum for a while and saw all the spyshots of the midnight silver wheels....so I knew they wouldn't be that dark....but they definitely SHOULD have offered wheels that dark, they look sick on the website.

Not surprised since I saw pictures of them before the Camaro builder website. Someone needs to fix the builder as you're not the first one to think the RS rims are darker.

Yes I was surprised also when I saw the RS wheels on a dealer's 2LT. Not nearly as dark/badass as I envisioned when saw them at dealer. Either were the taillights as dark as I hoped. Still ordered the package, mostly for the headlights and the 20s...

I was surprised when I saw the pics on here and it was after I ordered the RS package at the dealership. I decided to upgrade back to the polished aluminum and they look sweet. But if they would have been black I would have kept them.

Initially I was disappointed that they were not as dark as they appeared on the build site. I've seen them in person now, and am happy with them; least for as long as it'll take me to have them powder-coated black ;)

Yeah, the main site was causing that issue with alot of people that werent part of any Camaro groups. I thought they would have fixed the Midnight wheels by now on the site. I love them the way they are now, it wouldn't have bothered me had they been as dark as the site showed.

I liked the midnight silver wheels in pics, but hated how they looked (and how inaccurate the color was) when they released the new website builder. I was always afraid of them being too dark (I don't like black wheels :barf:). But having seen them in person in 3 different lighting situations, I have to say they look INCREDIBLE!!

Yeah I was surprised I had to do a double take when I saw the wheels in person. I kept doubting myself.

Good thing about the color now is that it hides brake dust well. The inside of the wheels are darker grey and you don't have to clean in there because it is so dark grey. Wish the outside was as dark though. Oh well on to driving my SS looking for a few mustang victims.

I just spent 30 min trying to convince a guy that the wheels are NOT going to be black like they show on the Camaro builder. Here's the pic... I'm sure these Midnight wheels will hide the dust...:D

People actually think they are getting this and his small town dealer doesn't know any difference...

Still not sure he believes me...:iono:

They were probably put on the builder to show a clear distinction from the polished aluminum wheels.
