Show-Me-SS 03-02-2010 05:59 PM

Sounds good to me!

DSteck 03-02-2010 06:03 PM

If this happens in April, maybe I'll have to blow out some ear drums... Right Genevieve? :sm0:

IBM10 03-02-2010 08:05 PM

you can count me in

mulletman 03-02-2010 10:07 PM

My left ear is still ringing! So, since there is more than just me why dont we actually start working out a date.... Are week days better or week ends? morning, afternoon, evening? Cruise to a place, function, good road? what is everyones preference.

I really want to get this going.

Thanks

oh and anyone who wants to come is welcome, granted we are all camaro people but I think we were all car people first.

FANTA-Z 03-03-2010 05:53 AM

I am dating a girl from St. Louis, so depending on the date and time we might be able to attend as well.

pharmboy 03-03-2010 06:17 PM

weekends would be great for me...just about any time! I should have some nice additions by April

bzy-man 03-03-2010 06:57 PM

Anyone have a preference on date and times ? Good cruisin' roads ? - Beir Brothers (performance shop) Just East of Ofallon said we can use their Lot as a gathering spot... IT's right on the North Service road next to Rothmans furniture.. How about first weekend of april ? Should be warmer by then. (Or sooner if people wish - I'm game )... Looks like it's gonna be a GREAT turnout ... Yes everyone is welcome------

DWBcons_SS 03-03-2010 07:38 PM

Count me in. I have had my Camaro for 6 month and only 823 miles on it. Let me know what the date is.

Show-Me-SS 03-03-2010 07:59 PM

Something on the weekend would work for me.

OneQuickGP 03-03-2010 09:34 PM

I'm in, I vote Mid-April..... Selfish reasons, already have plans the 1st weekend in April.

Rich1 03-03-2010 10:22 PM

Weekends are good. Anytime in April.

DSteck 03-04-2010 11:45 AM

Looks like I'll have another C6Z tagging along, too. I'm curious when this will be, because I have a lot of tuning appointments in April!

Mike, plan to have anything done before April?

I hope so, I'm actually thinking of taking out a small loan. Buying this car has left me cash depleted. If I do that it would allow room to start putting some towards the car.

We had some decent weather today so I cleaned the car up a little bit after work today :D Suppose to be close to 60 this weekend so I am sure I will get out and about enjoying the first warm weather of the spring.

DSteck 03-05-2010 08:08 AM

Warning Thread High Jack:

This weekend is too nice not to meet up with at least someone.... I have obligations Saturday which sucks but sunday is open. I say we meet for lunch somewhere local. If that doesnt work then we can do Ice cream in the evening. But my first thought was lunch on sunday at 1:00 at a burger joint in st. charles. I am not super familier with the area but I am sure someone knows a place. Post it up and lets try to enjoy this beautiful weather together.

Thanks,

Bellringer 03-05-2010 04:57 PM

Well considering I can't even get in and out of my car right now.
Still using a walker to get around. Long story.

You all have fun and I will catch up with everyone later in the spring hopefully.

April 10th

O.K. Folks -- April 10th (Saturday) sounds like a good date-- Or 11th (SUNDAY) even works. I'm not good with a cruisin road-- People talk about over to Alton or 94 towards the wineries.. Any advice here is great advice and highly appreciated. Looks Like we have a new 2010 Camaro SLP joining in.. THATS 575 Horses right outta the Factory.. And only 250 of them made. Hope He reads this and chimes in ! And I'm ready for a Tune !! Bring on that Laptop ! We may meet at Beir Brothers Just East of OFallon or more towards Bass Pro-- More cars the marrier here !

Rick

OneQuickGP 03-05-2010 06:34 PM

April 10th works for me. Meeting at Bier bros. also seems like a great spot to start.

Dave, hopefully I can at least have some exhaust work and maybe a cold air before this, then it would be worth it to have you try and tweak her up a little for me.

Cory 03-05-2010 06:41 PM

I am also up for it. I live in st. charles off cave springs/truman. There is a restaurant that has a large lot by them. It called Mattingly's and the food is pretty decent and the lot can hold a fair number of cars with lots of traffic.

bzy-man 03-05-2010 06:47 PM

Thanks Cory and welcome to the Cruise !
I'll drive:chevy: by there tomorrow and check it out !!
Rick

DSteck 03-06-2010 04:09 PM

 While I'd love to be able to tune everybody's car on that day, it's just not feasible. I'd have no easy way to put the wideband in your exhaust! I could do a package deal, though... $500 total buy in, for as many people as you can muster, and I'll kill skip shift on vehicles. If you get ten people, that's fifty bucks per person. Plus, when you disable it in the PCM, you won't get the light on the dash either! The aftermarket eliminators can't do that. Anybody who buys in could get a $100 discount on a future full tune, too. :D

This should be fun. The other C6Z might not make it, depending if the engine is in! He may bring his C5Z. I could probably get my buddy to bring his C6 as well, which will be freshly cammed/tuned.

FANTA-Z 03-06-2010 04:36 PM

Really the only thing I would like taken off is the torque management. Im not really wanting a full tune, and the skip shift doesnt bother me with my style of driving lol.

That's pretty easy. Just have to max out a couple of tables. If you're changing things, it's easy to just kill skip shift while you're in there.

FANTA-Z 03-06-2010 05:16 PM

I have no issues paying 50 to get those couple of things done while we are there. I have done some tuning myself and I know how tedious it is, and when everyone is hanging out it takes a lot of your time, which in turn means you dont get to hang out as much. So if you have time great, and if not thats fine too. I am dating a girl from the St. Louis area and if your willing we could meet up sometime other than this if your just wanting to enjoy yourself at the meet and great.

I could only do it for $50 if ten people did it, otherwise I'd lose money. :D At $500 for as many people that want it, I'd still lose a couple bucks, but there's always a plus side. :D

Changing simple stuff like codes, torque management, fan settings, skip shift, etc. is very easy and quick. The time consuming part is taking the data! I've spent a lot of time, though, programming my scanner to do all the work for me. :sm0:

I was just hoping to meet people at the cruise, but I will have my laptop along in case anybody wants to learn a few things about how their PCM works! I'm not a Camaro owner, but I definitely like the cars, and I'm all about events that involve LSX stuff.

shroomjohn 03-07-2010 12:58 PM

Might have to roll up from Springfield!
