how oftern to change the oil

Just asking opinions I Have a 2010 ss that I only drive maybe 900-1500 miles a year on it. Just curious on how often do you think I should change it. I do every year when I bring it out of the garage to start driving it in march or april. Any Different Ideas thanks

The official GM statement is once a year or when the sensor tells you to, whichever comes first.

I noticed that the sensor tells me about at 5000 miles.

If you're not putting on miles, then once a year.

I would change it before storage no sense in old oil sitting there all winter.

All good advice from the above comments, but I like to change the oil every 3,000 miles (+-500 miles) or once a year before winter storage.

Every 3,000-4,000 miles. Daily driver.

Recently picked up 2010 in July, not my first go around, stored all of them in winter months here in Ohio, I always change oil in spring and be for storing it for winter.

I only put on about 1000 miles a year and change it every year in October

Actually you should change it in spring after storage. Oil sitting in the pan won't hurt a thing. During storage temp cycling moisture inside the block and heads runs into the pan and oil. That's why a spring change is best. New oil in the pan in fall becomes contaminated oil by spring.
