Looking to maybe buy a Camaro
 

Guys.. I currently have an 05 GTO. Yellow with black stripes. 67K on it. I'm thinking about selling it and getting either a 2013-2016 Camaro SS convert or 1LE if I can find one.

Which cars had the L99? Which have the LS3? I think the steering wheel on the 2010-2011 Looks horrible. Is there a best year? I'm not fond of the tail lights on the 2014 and newer, but I could live with it.

I read that you can change the color of the interior lights is that true? I want a heads up display.. Thoughts?

L99 is automatic and ls3 is manual. If you want the pre refresh tail lights 10 to 13 and 13 was the start of mylink

The hud is a 2ss thing. I have a 2012 2ss/rs l99 and I absolutely love it. I'm planning on changing out the stereo head unit for a touchscreen and I like the back up camera in the rearview mirror so I'm ok without mylink

Is the stereo tied into anything on the car? I don't plan on replacing it, but if I did, I'd be worried I'd lose something if I pulled it out.

I think the my link is tied into all kinds of stuff but I'm not sure. They might also not have a CD player. The only reason I want to change out my stereo is for Bluetooth. As far as the pre mylink, I don't think anything is tied into it because onstar and the backup cam are in the mirror.

I gotta have leather. Your stock stereo didn't have bluetooth?

It has phone Bluetooth so you can make hands-free calls but I have to use a cord in the auxiliary port for music from my phone

2013 is generally considered the sweet spot. It has the updated interior and electronics of the 14-15 but the body style of 10-13. It is your preference though. The stock unit does have bluetooth for phone calls but to stream music I have found I have to use a AUX cord. You can add leather for well under $1000 if you do it yourself, just something to keep in mind so you don't narrow your search down too much.

Take a look at the 2013's; some, to include myself, think it is the 'sweet spot' of the Gen5's. Many improvements & tweaks over the 2010S & 11's and, as you, some of us don't care for the 2014 refresh look. :happy0180:

If you get a convertible make sure it is a 2013-15. Too many problems with the 2011-12’s. I’m biased to the look of the 2013 also.

I really want to be able to stream spotify from my phone thru the stereo. The 2013's can't do it? I also not sure if I want a convertible or not. I'd love a 1LE..
