Produced but 800# will not give out the VIN#
 
So I've been at 3400 for about a week. My dealer called me today and told me that I was still at 3400. So for shits and giggles I called 1-800-222-1020 and spoke to "Brendon". He was really nice and helpful, put me on hold and called the DBC (Dealer Business Center). He came back with those words....."it's been produced". I was so excited, had I been there I probably would have fisted him! But then, he said, I can't give you the VIN#, only your dealer can get that. So I'm hitting up my dealer now............


***UPDATE My dealer called the DBC. VIN#2G1FT1EW9A9116429 lives!!! They told him that Quality Inspection started today on my car.....fingers crossed she doesn't get lost in Area 51

DON"T GIVE UP THE FAITH MY R6P Brothers!!

I wonder if my car will ever be worth more because it was produced the week GM declared Bankruptcy?

congrats Just to make you feel better than you do already. My car only took a few days before it was on the train and I should see it on Monday. SO QC is moving alot faster than earlier cars. Congrats your car should ship pretty quick!!

I just called also because I hit 3400 on 6/4. They hopfully didn't know what was going on. They said my car should be built in about a month and then it will take 1-4 weeks in inspection before it ships. Not the news I really wanted to hear but hopefully I will get it sooner - Lingenfelter is waiting for it as well.

Congrats SS...

Just got off the phone with 1-800-so-so and was told that my car was produced and in Quality Control. They could not tell me when it was produced but that my dealer would know. Funny, because my dealer at 4:00 said I was still at 3400.

Here is hoping it moves fast, I WANT IT!!

hmm maybe I should call the 800 #. I've been at 3300 since 5-22, and been calling the dealer once a week and they say no movement.... :facepalm:

I called the 1-800 number and the guy answered and said his name was Michael Scofield. For those of us that watch alot of TV while waiting for our cars, this was a character on the Prison Break show on Fox. As of that moment I knew that CS was just messing with all of us.

Holy S*** this is going fast. Dealer called today and emailed me my invoice! It states the follwoing:

INVOICED 06/09/09
SHIPPED 06/09/09
EXP I/T 06/19/09
INT COM 06/19/09

Does this mean that it's expected to arrive at my dealership by 6/19 or that it's expected to be "in transit" by 6/19.
