That's where we were going last time.
We had it reserved last time and they wanted like 20k up front so we backed off and then Holley took our dates for LS Fest.

Talk about killer dry summer heat!! BG was hot and humid but Vegas is in a whole other league when it comes to summer heat in my opinion.

I would love a Vegas visit but just my past observations of being there in the summer is that nights are for partying and the days are for sleeping.

April/May would be a great time of the year.

I agree.....or a week before SEMA would be another option or anytime during the fall were hotels would be available with regards to conventions that regularly call on Vegas.

Bruton Smith is also expanding the drag strip to 4 lane racing...

Who said anything about going to Las Vegas in the summer?

When the 'fest is in a place that gets unbearably hot in the summer, we've held it in the spring. Thats when Valdosta, Phoenix, and Houston were.

Houston was a blast also

I'd be perfectly fine with Bowling Green, KY again it's a 14 1/2 hour drive for myself google says like 16 1/2 but who obeys speed limits. So it's not like the 22hr drives west coasters have but according to my timetable maybe about 19hrs for someone like me in my car. BG has so much to offer and i'm not discouraging LV i'd definitely make the trip after getting on the strip finally in my car i'm hooked.

ZL1 FOR ME 08-24-2017 10:12 PM

I have to say Bowling Green would be again would be great. The NCM road course is just
the cherry on top of all the other events.

Ace0751 08-26-2017 10:31 PM

I thought a group is putting together an event just for the west coasters since CFest sounds like is mainly going to be on the east side. Either way I hope it stays at BG because of all the accommodations that are around. It's within driving distance for most of us and the location is perfect with the tracks being very close to each other. And now NCM opened there kart track this year you can add that to the list.

The down side is the heat, but it's the only time that a lot of people have time for vacation and the kids and teens won't be in class. Plus BG the past two fests have taken in some popularity, 2015 was the mustang crowd that got jealous and this year we took over a wedding reception. If it comes to BG next year who knows what will happen next.

How was the 2012 CAMARO5 Fest III in Indy and how was the venue?

olblue75 08-27-2017 12:20 PM

Just need to make sure there's a road course close but!
