*Transmission performance package for $170.00
Tampa Tuning recognizes that the A4 and A6 automatic transmission owners just want their sloppy, slow shifting and sluggish transmissions tuned for a performance feel. For those owners, we designed a transmission only tuning package. We will reduce your vehicles engine and transmission torque management system and re-flash only transmission settings indicated above by *Transmission performance* notation. This will be a very noticeable change in your vehicles performance!

Torque management reduction tune for $100.00
For the drivers that just want a noticeable change in your vehicles performance, and are tired of the 1st to 4th CAGs skip shift, Tampa Tuning will reduce your vehicle’s engine and transmission torque management system and neutralize your CAGs. You will be surprised and pleased with the torque management tune. Many drivers who use their vehicle daily say just turning off the CAGs are worth the price and the extra seat of the pants torque is a bonus.

Email order tunes for $150.00
If you own or have access to HP Tuners software, you can Email your stock .BIN file to Tampa Tuning where it will be reviewed and properly enhanced for a “Email order” tune. Your tune will be enhanced by using HP Tuner tables from our library of modified configurations which have a very similar set up as your make and model vehicle.

For dyno tuning and some vehicles/Trucks please add $100 to the above pricing.

I am a very satisfied customer of Phil's and Tampa Tuning. I brought my 2010 SS with an L99 to Phil just a few weeks ago.

Everything I had heard about Phil is true. He's very patient and detailed. He took time to tune my car for me, not a cookie cutter tune. We drove, he tuned. I gave feed back, and he tuned some more. I was ready to leave satisfied, he made me stay longer so he could tweak it some more.

The result: I have a car that is more fun to drive than anything I have ever owned. Tire chirping shifts, a very responsive throttle, and no more AFM........bottom line is "fun to drive". It's a different car.

I also recommend going with the ported/polished throttle body he can offer.

If you're anywhere within driving distance of Tampa check him out. I made the drive from Orlando. Knowing what I know now, I'd make the drive from much further away.

Thanks again Phil!!!

Phil did a killer tune on my 1998 Z28 LS1. Completely changed how the car performs in just a few hours and haven't had one single issue since. Phil stands behind his work and takes not only his time, but also takes pride in his work and it shows.

khislop007 07-24-2014 11:59 AM

Phil did an awesome job on my mail order tune. We kept sending files and logs back and forth until it was perfect. Really brought the headers and intake to life!

Thanks guys,

Kevin,
I had two Corvettes and a Camaro to calibrate yesterday, and im heading to Virginia on the 1st till the 6th. Ill be calibrating again on the 9th if you want play.

ytown87 07-27-2014 09:05 PM

Phil was awesome. Took my Camaro to him back in the early spring to get tuned for the first time after adding my LT. I was impressed by the amount of detail that went into the tune. He made sure every setting was perfect and actually took the time to explain what was going on and how the tuning worked. My car has been running strong and I couldnt have been more pleased.

I highly recommend for anyone looking for a custom tune on any car..especially LSX cars. Hes a very popular guy so get you reservation in asap. There was even a guy that sent his Vette up from Venezuela I believe just to have Phil tune it the day I was there. I plan on taking my car back when future upgrades are done.

tw3ss 07-28-2014 11:46 AM

It felt like a different car when Phil was done. Better shifts and more useable power.

Money and time well spent

Thanks

Phil make a few cars for me, my L99 and some costumers cars to. I have the HP tuners and he make all the remote tune with no issues, we work in one, two and moré files to get the Car work perfect with my NGK Wideband get all done.

Im from outside US and in one of my visit to US this year i find some time to visit him in st.peterburg and meet him in person and see how he tune the cars in live.

Great guy and in very happy to say the i have two years using his tune with no issue at all.

I take many logs and he send me tunes back to get the perfect tune for me and my costumers. That's one of the best thing about him!! He takes the time to get the car perfect !!!

Great Job!!!

Tim I have a funny video of you after your test drive.

Phil did a mail order tune for my 2012 SS and the poor guy took 5 hours out of his Sunday to tune my car to perfection. This tune didn't just wake my car up it transformed it into a beast. Phil is very patient when he is tuning your car and he actually takes the time to teach you and explain to you what he is doing in detail so those of us that have no clue what we are looking at when we are tuning start understanding what to look for. Thank you again Phil! I will be contacting you soon once I get my Headers.

My brother had his 2010 SS LS3 tuned by phil a few weeks ago. I recommended TAMPA TUNING to him after reading comments on camaro5 about how a great job phil does and he's right near ya. My brother says phil drove around in the car with him a few hours until it was dialed in perfect. He absolutely loves it. I wish TT was out here. Thanks for hooking my brother up phil. I'm seriously thinking about driving my camaro from long island,ny to florida.

VINNY1980 08-31-2014 06:02 PM

So long story short... Bought 2010 camaro ls3 year ago with cai header exhaust i guess a tuned because skip shift was eliminated and no engine light because of header. But after driving for couple months things just didnt seem right to me. I though that my previous trailblazer ss was faster. So after about hearing about phil on ths website. I contacted him and discussed what i was feeling and what i want to do. He explained that he could see and also mentioned a ported throttle body. So i made an appointment. When i arrived he was very nice. He said while we what why do we put tb on. As we took off he noticed mine was already ported and he showed it to me and did even try to sell me his. After he took for a ride to get feel for car then came back and loaded it up on the dyno. He did once pull and he notice that who ever tuned before messed up the knock sensor readings and made it run so rich it was blowing black smoke out the exhaust. It made 399 hp and 389 flbs torque. So he took my tune and compair to stock and it was running way to rich. So he started his magic. He spent the next couple of hour going back and fourth. Doing different rpm ranges. He started at lower rpms and got fuel trims to where he liked and went up the rpm range from there. Also got knock sensors working right again so now the engine is safer. He finally got 25 more hp out of it. It ran 420 hp and 406 flbs of torque. The he said lets go for a ride. At that point he was still in tuner mode. We did some wot 2500 rpm pulls on road. And at that time he notice it was alittle lean so we pulled over and he fixed right there and we did three more pull and it was good. Iam very happy it feels like a different car. Oh i forgot he also tuned out the decel pop out exhaust :). He did a great job i would recommend anybody to go see him. And ill even support him on my side windows. Thanks phil you did a great job even my wife noticed a differnece. It was a pleasure to meet you phil and maybe see you around at some shows. And sorry for father-in-law hes an old time racer and likes to talk.

Would also like to say thanks to joe the owner of powertech performance for i hospitiality and his tour of shop and some of the cars. It was nice to meet you also. And i will take car back when its time for more mods.

Your friend tom

Well we saved another car that was tuned in the area. This is a beautiful 2013 Camaro hot wheels edition with an SLP 2300 package on it. The owner drove down from South Carolina and had it tuned. He was frustrated with the shop and the way the car's tranny tune performed. The shop down here told them they just "tuned" a 2014 SLP package Camaro and would put that tune in his car for $300 and tweak it some.

The owner hated how hard the car shifted and drove. When he got home, he ended up returning the calibration to the basic in tune hand held calibration that came with the kit.

The owner called me and said he was returning to Florida again and this time wanted Tampa Tuning to re-tune the car.

He and his wife love the way the car drives and shifts in the D or M mode now. The 70 RWHP gain was the kicker

You cant cut and paste other peoples calibrations and call it custom tuning.

Phil

So after a little surgery for more power, this 2010 Camaro L99 to LS3 conversion was calibrated by Tampa Tuning. Last time Tampa Tuning calibrated this Camaro, He dyno'd 370 RWHP 380 RWTQ through his 6l80 with the bolt ons.

We added a nice little torquer cam, stall, and some ported heads to bring his Camaro to a nice 466 RWHP 424 RWTQ

Almost 100 RWHP and 45 RWTQ over the bolt ons dyno tune.

Phil's tunes are great. I've made the two hour trip a few times over the years now because I can trust that his tune is going to be good. I daily drive my cammed car, it was very important to me to get the driveability right. Phil coaxed 480whp out of the car with great road manners. We need a Tampa Tuning here in Orlando.

Phil is by far one of the best tuners around. I have worked with Phil in the past on my '98 LS1 Z28 and he did an amazing job on it and over the past several months I have talked to him from time to time about finally unleashing the beast out of the wife's '13 L99 SS. I finally decided to make an appointment with Phil and have the SS tuned and met up with him to do a street tune just as I did on the Z28.

I talked with Phil before we began to make sure we discussed the current mods done to the car, as well as what kind of adjustments can be made (AFM being the big one for me). We went over all the parameters and Phil began working on the custom tune. Each adjustment I could feel the car getting stronger and stronger, and the proof in the pudding for me was when we took off traction control and from a dead stop the car literally roared to life and took off like a bat out of hell. The permagrin is certainly the result as the car literally feels like a brand new beast. It shifts better, accelerates better and overall is just blast to drive now for the power that wasn't there before is now there on command.

I would highly recommend Phil for anyone wishing to get a tune for he takes his time, really digs into the tune based on not only what has been done to the vehicle but also he listens to you on how you drive your vehicle. He stands by his work and is always a phone call away to answer your questions and best of all if you decide to add more mods he will get you retuned and not charge one dime to do it. That is customer service and why I always recommend him. He's simply one of the best and worth the drive to visit.

That's how we roll. I hope you and Dawn enjoy the car.

Thanks again for the long day Saturday. I know im in good hands with Tampa Tuning no matter the tune we are working on. Picked up nearly 70rwhp (forget how much tq) since phil tuned my car with only adding heads/ported intake. Have baseline Graphs (same Dyno) before his tune (bolt ons and cam) to now (bolt ons, cam, heads, ported intake)to prove the results

After a few issues (Phil helped problem solve and find the answer of spark plug wires coming loose) we finally got the car squared away and running better than ever. Full bolt ons, cam, heads, ported intake, and zl1 fuel pump. we hit 467rwhp and hope to get it on Dyno again soon to see what it can do when the car isn't heat soaked. Will get car down to BMP soon as well to compare times.

35 more RWHP and 25 more RWTQ than your last set up, but who's counting :smiling1:
