It's very common out near Sacramento/Elk Grove/Woodland area.

Isn't it just a voluntary test? It says in the pdf that you can refuse....

It also says if someone refuses "record plate # for future review"

that sucks...guess i missed that. so if you end up getting selected and you do the test with mods...does that mean a guaranteed fix it fine?

I love that the report confirms what we all know, with "overall failure" rate being twice as high as "emmissions failure" rate, we know that all the visual inspection and CARB EO numbers are straight BS.

"Only, in California...."

pyr0b0y 05-11-2013 07:26 PM

It states in the PDF

'This data is only used to evaluate the performance of
California's emissions reduction programs. There are no consequences to you for
participating regardless of your emission equipment or emission levels.'

....I don't know if I believe this or not....

Damn I seen this inspection, I was heading right for it and no way to turn out anymore Thought it was just another cinco de mayo DUI so I kept going and found out to be a smog:eyebulge: so I passed by and they forsure knew I had a headers and cam cause they herd me coming 3-4 cars down lol they tried to tell me I had to take the test but I kept telling them no no no and they just let me go lol but didn't know they wrote down the lic# hope I don't get something later..

IBM/2SS/RS/LS3 05-13-2013 03:08 PM

From some inside knowledge on this.....

"Sorry, I don't have time for this today cause I'm late for ______"

and you'll be on your way. They can't force you to participate.
