GM Performance Intake available?

1 Attachment(s)
When is GM's Performance Intake going to be availible? Does anyone know the Specs? I prefer to stay with ALL GM upgrades, but I may change my mind if I go with the Hennessey Super charger!:headbang: Plus this intake is UGLY!!!!

as far as i know, all the GM parts are not out yet...so one really knows

I asked the guy who does GM parts on the Corvette forum and he did not know when it would be available.

Isn't it?

When I ordered my Camaro yesterday, I ordered the GMPP Intake and Exhaust with it, my dealer says they're available but you have to order them separate from the car and from a different section of the ordering system (dont ask for clarification, no idea what that means)

franknbeans 06-23-2009 05:50 PM

my guess is your dealer is estimating that the GMPP items will be open by the time you get your car.

Probably, 2 weeks off in July + 6-8 weeks (or more) for delivery. If they're not, o well. I can always go aftermarket if GM is that slow with the release.

My Dealer "says" sometime in Aug/Sept!!!!!!!!!!! WTF??????????????????

Dan3 06-23-2009 07:05 PM

That makes sense, I don't expect to see my car till mid-September at the earliest. So if the parts come in with the car, great. If not the dealer wont charge me and I'll just go aftermarket.
I'm already antsy as a 6 year old the week before Christmas, I have no idea how some people have been waiting almost a year for theirs.

They are not available as of yet, but I would not order through your dealer. You will pay
way too much. Go to GMpartsdirect.com There may also be other places that will be cheaper as well, but I would highly doubt your dealer will have as good of price.

GMPP intake is available now..Have one. Dealer ordered it. I ended up ordering a supercharger and the airbox won't work. so as soon as the supercharger gets here I am using a Hennesy Box.

My Dealer is supposed to have the one he ordered for me arriving tomorrow unless he was able to cancel but I don't think he had time ithink it was already shipped.

Might be one sitting on the Counter at KEN NELSON AUTO PLAZA in Dixon ILLINOIS when UPS gets there tomorrow. Call and ask for Mike in Parts 815 288 4458. $450

Saw it on one of the users sites:

http://www.gm.oeaccessories.com/newman/

(coming soon)

Let us know how much your dealer wanted.

Dan3 06-23-2009 07:43 PM

Shifter was about $455, Intake was about the same, and the GMPP Exhaust was just under $1100 (all prices including installation). I have a good dealer though, so I dunno if installation is standard, or something he threw in for me.

rudack 06-23-2009 07:46 PM

Thanks, I am going to email my dealer and see what they say.

He may have ordered it, but until he has it in hand he does not have it.
You can order them, but I still say you are not going to get them yet.
Oh, and it is $396 shipped through GMpartsdirect.com
