Radar Detector Mount for Convt?

What are you guys using to mount yours? I had wanted to use this one:

But I see it says not for convertibles. Does anyone make something like that which is compatible for convertibles?

I've always just used the suction cup mount, I didn't know they made special mounts like that. I'm curious also if it works on the convertible.

I have a 2013(which has the new mirror stem) and the blendmount works perfectly.

Blendmount is the way to go. I've had mine in my 2012 since the first week and love it.

Mine is mounted to the mirror and powered by FireWire. I can't recall the brand of mount. I love it mounted there.

I used a go pro sticky mount right behind the mirror. I like it better than the kind that hangs down below the mirror because our cars already have tiny windshields why loose more of it? Ill take some pics tomorrow so you can see what im saying.

I would be interested to see. Right now I am leaning towards doing something similar to what I was someone else do... which is putting it over on the left hand side at the bottom. Not sure. Won't have the car until Friday so I have plenty of time to think about it.

Okay i know they aren't the best but here is how mine is mounted its out of the way and mine doesnt have a screen or anything on the front so no need to look at it. I can take it down so you can see the actual mount if needed.

I like that it's not visible especially if a cop rolls up next to you. Having said that, do you think it would reduce the range on the detector? What I mean is if a cop was behind you. I'm wondering if you would really only be able to pick up what is in front of you or on the sides. :noidea:

More than likely no signal, or greatly reduced... Even those visor mounts would reduce the detector's ability to pick-up rear signals.

I haven't had any problems with mine. It picks up signals from all around, I live in a tiny town and the cops just sit in parking lots or at peoples houses with their radar on and my detector will pick it up. It'll be going off then a couple of blocks later ill see the cop around the corner, and it keeps going off after i pass them unless i silence it. The city cops around here wont pull locals over its the DPS you gotta look out for. They sit in the school parking lot at lunch and pull kids over for anything... Thats the only reason I have mine, I got pulled over for going 42 in a 30 on my way to lunch. Passed 2 city cops and then a DPS...What a douche, he yelled at me (Yeah i know i shouldnt have been going that fast but it was my first time to ever get pulled over and I was beating myself up over it enough. I sure learned my lesson though) and then after signed the ticket he went to my taillight and pulled off the tint and brought it up to my window and threw it in my lap and said "Take these off! I already got one for you." then walked away.
