2SS price increase in..

I was browsing the GM.CA (Canada) build abd price when I noticed the MSRP for the 2SS increased again  Approx 2 months ago, the MSRP for a 2SS was $40,995 it was then increased to $41,065, it is now $41,430 :mad0259:

I am not sure if there was also an increase for the US and other markets but I can tell you my 2SS has been on order since June 8th and the deal is at MSRP which means that I am now paying $435 more than anticipated, if GM keeps increasing the MSRP and the allocations remain slow as they are for my dealer. I will find myself have to rethink my order

Hey Mario,

I think the latest increase is to add the cost of the Back Up Sensors, see this threadhttp://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...t=back+sensors

Hi, yes that is what I am thinking as well, makes sense. Thank you

I think we better start seeing Canadian price adjustment. Our dollar is nearing par again. 92 cents as of today. Or around 8%. The difference in price between US and Canadian Camaro's is about 19%!

more than that... destination for the US is 750... for canada is 1350... a difference of 600... thats just a plain ripoff...

OldGunner 08-30-2009 07:18 PM

We paid $795.00 Destination Fee

Yup you gota love how they do the Canadian pricing advantage with a model that arent moving well to make it seem they are trying to keep you from buying in the US but with a popular car zippo. U can get a 2ss for like34-35k plus shipping in the US but in canada your looking at 45k+ thats brutal. There sure are 0 deals up here. They have lots of options once things calm down thats what im banking on.

You mean your sales agreement doesn't have the dollars listed but just says MSRP? I have bought several new cars, all special orders and I have always had the money set out in the sales contract to the penny. Did your dealer insist that you do it that way or what?

Consider Canadian sales tax of both PST and GST aswell and a 2SS is 50 large in no time! Sucks!

Wow, that kind of destination fee, and it doesn't even leave Canada

It is the socialist Canadian way...I live 45 minutes from the plant, my destination charges $1,400.00, a guy who live in British Columbia (BC, just up the coast from Seattle, WA) pays .... wait for it.... $1,400.00. My true cost is probably about $300.00, they take my remaining $1,100.00 and subsidize the shipping to BC.
